About this Cook
I have been happily married to the love of my life for ten years. We have one daughter, who is our pride and joy. My father has been a professional chef for 25 years and still going! So i learned alot from him but most was learned from my grandmother. i love to try new foods and i love to cook for my family!
My favorite things to cook
Well being a southern girl my first love is southern food! there is nothing better! but i love italian and mexican too.
My cooking triumphs
When my husband and i first got married we lived in the same town as our families, so i didn't have to worry about cooking holiday meals. So four years ago, when we moved 6 hours away from them i had to take on that task. I was nervous but it turned out really well and everyone loved it!

Shrimp Fried Rice II
DELICIOUS! This tasted just like the shrimp fried rice that i used to eat as a teenager from my favorite chinese restaurant! I have moved from my home town since then and i simply cannot find any shrimp fried rice that tastes the same. Well, this is it! I cooked the rice a day ahead of time and omitted the eggs and it came out perfect!

Country Green Beans
Absolutely LOVED these! I added one more clove of garlic and took the advice of others and used chicken broth. I also omitted the ham simply because i didn't have any on hand. Hubby said they were the best green beans he has ever had! Will make again!

Day Before Mashed Potatoes
These were sooo yummy! I took the advice of others and didn't make them the day before. Also i added a layer of shredded cheddar cheese the last 10 minutes of baking. I think these would also be good without baking them because i tasted them before i put them in and i didn't want to stop eating them! I will definitley make these again!
