I am a 20 yr old wife and mother of two...I stay at home with my baby, my oldest is adopted...I think the greatest gift on this earth is to be able to stay at home with your children and love on them. It is also one of the most challenging. I love to do anything that has to do with beign a homemaker, but I have to admit I love reading about it more....
My favorite things to cook
I LOVE to bake bread. I don't know why...it just calls me like some forlorn child, helpless in the dessert. OK, I admit, that's an exageration. But it is no exageration that I go out of my way to bake it, even to the point of giving it to strangers, just so I can bake more. I also like to cok soups, and to make salads. I'm kinda famous for those two, actually.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love the tradition that whoever cooks doesn't clean---esspessially whhen I cook! lol
My cooking triumphs
The first time that I made pie by myself I went on a limb and dd a fancy top to it. I was kinda scared but it turned out so well and everyone would exclaim..."oh, leaves!" it was really cool.
My cooking tragedies
I guess one tragedy would be that when I was younger, I wasn't taught how to cook, but I always wanted to learn. I used to try to bake bread with out a recipe, and when my mom would come home there was never the yummy loaf that I had envisioned, but a gooy gross mess all over the kitchen. I got into so much trouble.
