About this Cook
I am a proud wife and mother of 2. My kids are VERY picky but I am still always trying new things. I love to cook it's my stress reliever. I love to tinker with and perfect recipies.
My favorite things to cook
Any dessert!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Everything about Thanksgiving. My Aunt Mary's raisin cookies passed down from her grandma to her then she taught me how to make them. My dad LOVES these cookies.
My cooking triumphs
I knew I was not a beginner anymore when I finally made edible biscuits. The first time I canned by myself was a proud day for me.
My cooking tragedies
When I first left home everything I cooked was a tragedy!!!! I made a LOT of phonecalls to my mamaw.

Baked Potato Pizza
This was REALLY good. I used pillsbury pizza crust. Doubled the garlic powder and italian seasoning. My husband LOVED it. My picky 6 year old even took a few bites! Will make this for friends at first opportunity.

Perfect Turkey
This is the best turkey my family and I have had in years. This was my first year the veterans let me have my shot at it and it was a show stopper. It was just as pretty as it was delicious! The only thing I didn't do was turn the bird wrong side up - just cooked it breast side up the whole time. This is the juciest turkey EVER!! My husband loved it so much he went and bought another turkey the next day for me to cook so he didn't have to share!!
