Delicious and perfect. I refridgerated the dough for an hour and did not find it difficult to work with at all. Will definitely be making these again.

Lazy Bruschetta

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2009
My guests loved this and even called a week later for the recipe. I didnt have any fresh tomatoes, so I used canned, seasoned with garlic and olive oil. I used asiago cheese bread and basil from the garden - whole leaves atop bread then topped with tomato mixture. Lazy and delicious indeed! Will definitely make again!

Easy Tilapia with Wine and Tomatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2009
Very good. Hard to get my husband to eat fish, so the fresh toppings really jazzed it up. Would make it again. I made mine in the oven, by the way, as other reviewers suggested.

Chimichurri Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2009
This was only ok - I dont think I would make it again, though the failure may have been from substitutions I made. I like chimichurri sauce with cilantro, which I used from the garden. I did not have fresh parsley so I used dried flakes - I think that was my mistake.

Best Bread Machine Bread

The reviews say it all. Foolproof and delicious. I did take another reviewers advice and use 1.5 tsp of salt and it turned out great. So simple and uses stuff you always have in your pantry.

American Frittata

Loved it. Cant wait to make it again. I did change a few things, only because I cook with what I have, so no onions or ham, but I added leftover mettwursts, yellow squash, zuccini and a few tomatoes. great dish.

Firecracker Fried Chicken Drumsticks

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2009
Definitely good, not over the top, though. I marinated for almost 24 hours and it had a little kick but not much. It did have nice flavor. I might make it again, if I get a request, but the frying was a lot of work and a lot of mess.

Tomato and Basil Quiche

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2009
We really liked it. My husband, who "doesn't eat vegetables" ate half the pan. I even added some frozen spinach at the onion sautee step. Oh, and I used shallots instead of onions because we were out. I also didnt peel the tomatoes and it came out just fine, for anyone else who doesnt have time for tedium. Very good and will definitely make again to use up the fresh tomatoes and basil (and shallots:) from the garden.

Salmon Fillets with Creamy Dill

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2009
We really liked it. My husband at the whole thing with sauce, even though he "doesn't like mustard". I only made half the sauce and didnt use dill because we were out. I think if I made it again I would use a little less mustard. Very good though.

Tartar Sauce I

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2009
Absoletely delicious! Better than any prepared tartar sauce I have ever tasted. My husband even liked it and voluntarily took the leftovers to work (a miracle) even though he doesnt care for fish or mayonaise. I cant wait to make this again. It was so easy and so delicious.

Pork Chops for the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2009
Pretty good. My husband liked and had two chops. I added some frozen green beans about an hour before it was finished and served it with rice. Not the best I have ever had, but will definitely make again.

Reasonably tasty and easy to make. End result is not too different from a pre-prepared product like Shake N Bake.

Sweet Russian Cabbage Soup

It was ok, but not bursting with tang and flavor as some reviews suggested, even though I upped the vinegar and used less sugar. A nice use of cabbage but I dont know if I would make it again.

We loved it and I will definitely make this dish again. I actually only used one can each of the red and green salsas because I was short and it was really delicious as is.

Grilled Asparagus

WOW! Best asparagus I have ever tasted. My husband even liked it and he doesnt like asparagus. We doctored it a bit, as other reviews suggested, with olive oil, minced garlic, balsamic vinager, salt and pepper. STill amazingly simple and tasty.

Dad's Down Home Cornbread and Jalapeno Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2009
Loved it. Spicy and tasty but not too hot. My husband loved it and I will defintely make it again. I did alter one small thing. Instead of using fresh jalapeno peppers I used the canned "pickled" kind from the mexican section of the grocer that come with carrots and onions. Just chopped up about a quarter of the can of the onions, carrots and jalapenos and threw them in. Wasnt too spicy and snuck in some extra vegetables.

Sugar Plum No-Bake Cookies

They were ok. Easy to make but difficult to work with. They were easier to roll if you put the "dough" in the fridge for a while.
