Absolutely the Best Chocolate Chip Cookies
This is absolutely NOT the best recipe for Choco-chip cookies! I was better off taking all the ingredients and just dumping them down the drain. I read the good reviews, and then I read the bad reviews; I decided to try the recipe anyway. I used butter instead of shortening because I didn't have shortening on hand, other than that I followed the recipe perfectly. The first batch (2 dozen, which was about half the batter) looked more like choco-chip pancakes...they were flatter than flat and I only left them in for 8 min at 325 (my oven heats up higher than it should so I always lower the temp by 25 degrees). I decided to add 1/3 cup of flour to the rest of the batter, and although the second batch came out better (fluffier/thicker) they still lacked flavor. Overly sweet but that's it..no other flavor other than "sweet". Maybe I royally messed up somewhere along the line, although I doubt it, but these cookies are still sitting on the cookie plate, and I made them 3 days ago! Cookies rarely last a day at my house. Save yourself the aggravation and the wasted $ and find a different recipe. I'd give it a 0 but allrecipes' rating system doesn't go that low

German Sweet Chocolate Pie
This pie is SUPER simple to make. My nephew and I whipped this up in an hour (including the time it took to go shopping lol). We changed it up a bit though. We spooned in about half of the filling and then topped it with crushed Oreo pieces, then spooned in the rest of the filling. We then did little dollops of the cool-whip around the edge and drizzled Caramel over the pie. DELISH!
