My favorites are those cooked by somebody else. I'm a lazy cook. Would rather eat out.

Central European - Gulashes, roasts, fried stuff
My cooking triumphs
Pot roast from Julia Child's book (5lb. rump roast marinated 12 hours in one bottle red wine and vegs). Have never found a better recipe for this.
My cooking tragedies
Dried up over-cooked duck, no sauce -- but there was supposed to be one.
