So we are now officially out of groceries. Due to my absolute laziness this past week (I blame it on the time change) I have had no desire to go to the store. Thus, we are forced to dig into the dark places of the pantry and in the back of the fridge to pull dinner out of nowhere.

MORE
I have loved to cook since I was little when I used to make christmas cookies with my grandma. Cooking runs in my family! My husband is a wonderful cook too and we love to cook together. We can read each others mind in the kitchen. I am a comfort food cook. I am trying to branch out to try new things, but I also seem to end up at the tried and true. 6 out of 7 nights a week we sit down to dinner and we don't start eating until we share a kiss. We are proud parents of two HUGE rottweilers who absoultely love everything I make. They are veggie lovers and always lay in the kitchen with me while I cook waiting for me to drop something. I'm newly married but someday when we have little ones I will definitely be passing along the cooking traditions of both my family and my husband's family.
My favorite things to cook
I am a baker first and foremost. I love cookies, cakes, breads, and all carbs. I am also a big fan of cooking vegetables. I'm not much of a meat cooker but I love to eat it. I am also a huge fan of Italian food since lasagna is my all time favorite. You can never have to much olive oil or garlic! I love the crockpot because everything comes out so good and I love to fill the house with scrumptious smells all day.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandma makes they rolls at Thanksgiving that she recently started to double the batch because the whole family turned into roll pigs.
My husband is a master of sugo's and is slowly teaching me the tricks.
My cooking triumphs
Potato skins for football games! (Go CHARGERS!)
My cooking tragedies
When I first started to make cookies I didnt know the difference between tsp. and tbsp. so a batch or two were very salty. Also, it was a hard lesson to learn, but you have to read the recipe FIRST and then add the ingredients to the bowl!
