I adore entertaining and make a mean pear pie. I actually have tried many of the versions off of here and they are all spectacular! am quite fond of the cold weather...tends to make you want to bake, make a great cup of coffee and curl up w/ a good book. am still learning... gravy is not my best achievement. would love to learn what wine goes with what foods. pies,tarts - basic yummy goodness. baked brie is a fav too. love to make roasts/cajun chicken & dumplins...am usually the one to spice up anything I cook. my family is French .. so I grew up w/ homemade cookies,candy and an assortment of different confections that I am still trying to learn how to recreate. The women in our family had the talent to make a meal out of anything..sadly this was missed on me. I rely on recipes or ideas from others. my martini's are to die for, my desserts are often requested at family get-to-gethers. gravy..noone will ever ask me to make this again. when gravy comes out all ...at once, typically not a good sign.
