Married since I was 15, have 3 sons with my hubby. Hubby is an over the road Truck Driver and not home very often. When he does come home I like to go all out and make him big meals that will stick to his ribs lol. I have a book I wrote not a cook book but a book of poetry, if you are interested you can look it up online on amazon or ebay and most other book sites. The title of my book is called A Shattered Mind. We just moved back to Georgia in September of 2008. We were living in Maryland, that is where hubby and I met in high school. We lived in the Georgia/ South Carolina area for about 9 years, then moved back to Maryland then back again to Georgia 8 years later. Guess we belong here, we keep coming back.

My favorite things to cook
I have come up with quite a few things over the years to feed my family, from quick cheap foods that are filling to making the normal more tasty. I love to experiment in the kitchen. Never know if it will work unless you try it! Some of my favorites to make that my family really enjoy are:
Chicken Divan with mashed potatoes. We put the chicken divan on top the potatoes, the sauce is great with potatoes! I have to make my turkey roaster full so we have left overs or they get upset lol
Lasagna,
Stuffed Green Peppers have to have mashed potatoes on the side with this one. The sauce is very good over the potatoes
Roast beef (try mixing Lipton onion soup mix along with a can of Campbell golden mushroom soup. Dust the top of your beef first with a touch of garlic powder then pour the mixture over top and bake covered in foil. You may need more mushroom soup depending on your size of beef. make a gravy out of the juices when its done!)
Biscuits and Sausage Milk Peppered Gravy
My favorite family cooking traditions
Had to continue my favorite things here ran outta room lol
Old Bay chicken (oven fried) I put lots of other spices in this too, and if you make chicken breasts it's nice now and then to have a sauce on the side for dippin of buttermilk ranch dressing and a little hot sauce mixed together
a cheap quickie to fill ya up when you are LOW on cash?
take at least 1 bag Beef Ramon Soup per family member you are cooking for. Boil the noodles without the seasoning packets. Add one can peas and one can corn to noodles as they boil. Drain when done.
Brown some ground beef with 1 packet seasoning from soup. drain.
Add noodles and veggies to browned beef add more packets of seasoning to taste. Will help feed a hungry belly and wont break your bank.
My cooking tragedies
My momma always made sloppy joes for us when we were little made with chipped ham. I thought she used the canned sloppy joe stuff to do it. I was wrong lol If you ever make sloppy joes for your kids using chipped ham make sure you use only ketchup with it otherwise it is way to salty! To make them with ham just cook the ham in the frying pan with a little butter not to much then add katsup, my kids always love these.
