Sweet Potato Pineapple Casserole

This was wonderful. I took the advise of others and increased the amount of pineapple... however, I think I may keep it at a half cup next time. Also I think that a splash of spiced rum may be good idea! Thanks for a GREAT recipe!

I thought the crumb topping could have been sweeter-it tasted like flour. I'd put more brown sugar in next time and/or reduce the flour.

Excellent--I opted for no butter and it was very good! I also scooped out the shells and served it in a bowl saving room on the dinner table. Thanks for the recipe--I'll make it over and over again!

Basic Ham and Bean Soup

The was GREAT. I used 1/2 pinto and 1/2 great northern beans; reduced the water and used the majority of chicken stock for the liquid. I didn't have a ham hock (and don't even know or want to know what it is) so I put the ham in at the beginning. You won't be disappointed in this recipe! Thank you...

Speedy Salmon Patties

Vanilla Ice Cream VIII

So easy and it seemed like it was ready quite fast. I followed the recipe (almost) exactly--I added just a drip or two more of vanilla extract. The ice cream got rave reviews from everyone on our softball team--I'll be makin this again very soon.

Slow Cooker Cheesy Potatoes

These are always a big hit. I put a bag of shredded cheese in with them and sometimes jazz them up with a can of diced green chilis or sauteed onions. I also ue 2% milk.

Butter Pecan Bars

I made these as shown and they were GREAT! In my oven they came out gooey in the center of the pan and a little crispy along the edges. A little bit of everything for everyone--I'll make this again and again. Thanks for the recipe!

Grandma B's Bean Soup

I wish I had a bigger crock pot--it was filled to the brim. I used a large can of chicken broth instead of water. Very good. I'll use any leftovers to make baked beans. Thanks for the great recipe and suggestions!

Mild Cheesy Chicken Enchiladas

After looking at other reviews I put a small amount (1/2 packet) of taco seasoning in the chicken (which was leftover from a whole chicken I made in the crock pot) and used a can of enchilada sauce. Hubby LOVED it! Served it with tomatoes, sour cream, lettuce and jalepenos. Ole!

Chicken or Turkey Tetrazzini

I reduced the fat by omitting the oil, used reduced fat and sodium mushroom soup. For the cheese, I used a little chunk of Velvetta in the "body" of the recipe and use a sprinkling on the top at the end of the recipe. I also put crushed croutons on the top. YUM... Enjoy!

Classic Banana Bread

Wonderful--I added a 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla and cinnamon to the batter and also used the sugar & cinnamon mixture to coat the pan with. I forgot to add the salt but you couldn't tell. Yummy with pecans!

Chicken Parmigiana

Yummy! I also put the last of the sauce on last - just a dollop on before serving the rest I put over penne pasta. I used Italian bread crumbs and added parmesan to them. Very good!

Crustless Cheese Quiche

Awesome! My changes: added one more egg and reduced milk by a 1/4 cup; added sauteed onions and mushrooms; reduced butter to 1/4 cup; used half 2% cheddar and the rest regular cheddar; and ham to make it less fatty. This was a HUGE hit--I'll make this over and over again.

Blue Cheese and Pear Tartlets

This was great and I made it as written adding chopped pecans to the top. I took this to a wine party and paired it with a late harvest dessert wine. YUMM! It's a receipe for bleu cheese lovers!
