About this Cook
Married 22 years and mother of four young children.
My favorite things to cook
I love Greek and Italian food, as does my family. Always willing to try and looking for new recipes!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cooking with my children at Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's so exciting for them to say that they helped to prepare something. It definitely helps in getting them to try new things.
My cooking triumphs
The first time I made a souffle and it didn't fall! WHOOOHOOO!
My cooking tragedies
I still have nightmares about this! :) I painstakingly went through all the preparation to make -- or should I say attempted to -- stained glass cookies. What a mess....burned the whole lot. I have yet to attempt this one again.

Carla's Fruit Dip
I served this with fruit at our Christmas eve party. It was a hit. Everyone thought it was wonderful, myself included. Several left with the recipe in hand. Thank you so much for sharing!

My Best Clam Chowder
I made this just two hours ago. The title says it all, the BEST clam chowder. My entire family loves clam chowder. Even the little ones (ages 12, 5 and 4) order it whenever we go out to eat. This is -- without a doubt -- the best clam chowder we've ever had! I added bacon as some have suggested and agree that you shouldn't skip on the red wine vinegar. It really gives it a great taste. Thanks so much for this recipe....it's a keeper!

Grilled Venison Backstrap
My husband and son are avid hunters. I've tried just about every venison recipe out there over the last 22 years and this BY FAR is the BEST! I'd give this recipe more than five stars if possible! I had company for dinner and served this. No one knew that it was venison. Everyone, including my three young children (ages 5, 4 and 3) loved this. They all thought they were eating filet mignon. Needless to say, not a morsel was left! You could not imagine their shock when I revealed they had eaten venison. All of my guest with hunters in the family left with this recipe. This is a definite MUST try!
