Scottish Shortbread I
I love this shortbread. I cream the sugar and butter (and a little almond extract) for a very very long time. I find this is successful both as a pan shortbread or rolled and cut out.

Mushroom Burger Stew
Looking at the recipie the concept sounded good, but bland. 1. Added 3 cloves of garlic. 2. I substituted part of the water with a can of beef stock and a 1/2 cup of white wine. 3. I used diced tomatoes instead of stewed tomatoes. 4. I added cornstarch to make is more stew like. In the future instead of using burger I will use stew meat. I also used my crock pot and both my mom and i agree that these changes made this a hearty and tasty stew.
