About this Cook
I have been cooking for many years but until this last year I have not had the time to cook interesting meals and some of my favorite meals. I do not have any kids though I hope someday soon. I do not have a picky eater for a husband so it works great to try new things. My husband and family love my cooking and when I try new things most the time they come out pretty darn good.
My favorite things to cook
I love Mexican and even though I can not eat most of the deserts I cook I do make them for my family and my husbands work. I love to cook just for the peer joy. I also love to bake bread from scratch.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We make our own enchiladas and it comes from a recipe my parents started. We also make my grandma's Lasagna on special occasions which is absolutely the best I have ever had. I also love to cook my award winning blueberry pie. My mom taught my when I was little and I have made sure I carried that on.
My cooking triumphs
When I was young we would make Blueberry pies from our farm which was a blueberry farm and we would always win a blue ribon or a grand prize ribon. We did this until I was about 15.
My cooking tragedies
I have tried a lot of recipes and if I do not have the right cooking environment it would not work quiet well. I live 10,200 feet up.

Country Quiche
My husband and I were very pleased with this quiche. This was the first quiche I have ever made. With my grandmothers handed down pastry crust and this quiche I am sure to make this one again. Thank you for a good first time quiche.

Banana Angel Food Cake
I tried this recipe and used baking soda instead of baking powder. It came out really good looking and not moist like others said. I did not care for the taste though. My husband thought it was pretty good but I do not think I am going to make this one again. I gave it a good try and it worked but my taste buds thought diffrent.
