About this Cook
I am a stay-at-home mom to a wonderful daughter. I simply LOVE to cook and bake and enjoy making as much as I can from scratch.
My favorite things to cook
I'll try just about anything.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every Christmas, my grandparents would come to stay for at least a month, usually more. My grandmother and I would spend every spare moment we had making cookies. It is because of this that every time the weather turns really cold, I just HAVE to be in the kitchen baking.
My cooking triumphs
So far, I've had success with everything I've tried from this site, that's for sure! My recent successes (not including the ones from this site) are my own recipe meatloaf, chocolate chip cookies and chocolate crinkles.
My cooking tragedies
My main tragedies come from my thinking I know better than my machinery and my recipes. I enjoy improvising, but I need to learn when to say when.

Clone of a Cinnabon
This has been my go-to recipe for a few years now, and I'm just getting around to reviewing it! I follow the freezing instructions included in the reviews and give them every year at Christmastime! They're always a HIT! One addition: With the frosting, I like to freeze it in "packets." I evenly space spoonfuls on a piece of freezer Press & Seal wrap. Then top with another piece and seal around the frosting. Freeze it and you have packets of frosting you can cut apart and use anytime! Great if you freeze the rolls individually! Awesome recipe and I will continue to make and give them year after year!

Best Marinara Sauce Yet
Very good!! Didn't have the parsley and oregano, so I just added italian seasoning. Also added more garlic as some PP have suggested and some red pepper flakes for a kick!
