I am a stay-at-home mom to a wonderful daughter. I simply LOVE to cook and bake and enjoy making as much as I can from scratch. I'll try just about anything. Every Christmas, my grandparents would come to stay for at least a month, usually more. My grandmother and I would spend every spare moment we had making cookies. It is because of this that every time the weather turns really cold, I just HAVE to be in the kitchen baking. So far, I've had success with everything I've tried from this site, that's for sure! My recent successes (not including the ones from this site) are my own recipe meatloaf, chocolate chip cookies and chocolate crinkles. My main tragedies come from my thinking I know better than my machinery and my recipes. I enjoy improvising, but I need to learn when to say when.
