I'm a 50+ married woman living in Dallas who loves to cook and eat out when the food and service is good. My wife and I watch as much "food porn" as we can. Our favorites are the shows on PBS. I focus on taste and presentation when I cook. I hope to win a recipe contest one day. Steak, seafood, desserts, comfort foods. Currently I am working on coming up with the perfect decadent cookie for the holidays. I come from a family of five but my mom cooked for at least nine every day. She had things that were specialities we always looked forward to like her spaghetti and a couple of other things we hated to see on the plate like her overcooked turkey or vegetables. I catered a wedding for 100 and got rave reviews. I also won an award for a cookbook I wrote with my first-grade students when I was a student teacher. My desserts are always requested at potlucks or community dinners. I love making good food for good friends. I have had people literally beg to get one of my recipes.
