About this Cook
I enjoy cooking more now than I ever used to. I guess it's because I work now, where I didn't have to before and, it's given me a reality check on the value of my time. I also enjoy spending time with my three kids and my BF. I crochet and do needle-crafts. I'm just starting to get into paper crafts. I read and enjoy my Gameboy.
My favorite things to cook
I like to make cookies and candy. I also enjoy experimenting around with different ways to prepare and bake meat.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My female cousins and I used to help our grandmother with Holiday meals. We'd stand in sort of an assembly line and work on different parts of the meal. It was GREAT and I really miss those days.
My cooking triumphs
I pulled off my first big Holiday meal for Christmas when I was about 19. I put together a meal single-handedly for 12 people. I was VERY proud. Now, though, I can see places it could've been better. Still, it was quite an accomplishment.
My cooking tragedies
I had been making baked ham for Christmas for years by the time this happened. I was going along, doing my thing. Everything seemed to be going fine. I was thinking that the ham looked a little different than usual. Didn't think much of it until we tried to slice it and I realized that I'd left the paper wrap on it.

Broccoli Hamburger Casserole
I tried this recipe for dinner last night. My whole family loved it! It has wonderful flavor and wonderful texture. I also think it will prove to be really versatile. It stands alone as a casserole ad while we were eating, we came up with a bunch of ideas that we could use it for as well. Thanks for posting it! Dot72
