About this Cook
I make a mean grilled cheese. Anything else is a struggle. Slowly learning, one mishap at a time.
My cooking tragedies
I once tried to make a homemade pizza. I put oil in a pan that was (apparently) too hot, which immediately started on fire. I took the flaming pan outside so as not to set the fire alarm off. In my flustered state I put the scorching pan on a plastic outdoor table, melting the pan to the table and ruining the table. I called the local pizza joint and called it a day.

Chocolate Fudge Cookies
Baked these for a coworkers birthday. They got rave reviews and it could not have been a simpler recipe. It's a keeper!

Seasoned Turkey Burgers
These were "eh". Followed the recipe, tasted like onion soup burgers- not necessarily a good thing. They were juicy though, which I think came from the egg. I'll look elsewhere for a turkey burger recipe next time.

Spicy Black Bean Cakes
WOW! These were amazing! I made these Friday night and by Saturday afternoon they were gone! My boyfriend and sister ate them all! I made a second batch Sunday and froze them so I could have them for my lunches. I also loved the sour cream mix, but my sister preferred salsa with it. I cooked them on the stove top, only because the second I turn on my broiler the fire alarm goes off :( I also followed others advice and used two eggs- they were perfectly moist! Aside from that I followed the recipe exactly. I'll be making these again!
