I'm of Chinese/Hawaiian/Scotch/English descent. My dad did most of the Chinese/Hawaiian cooking while my mom did the Scotch/English meals. Living in Hawaii, you become quite diverse with flavors of the pallete. My late husband and I loved to experiment with recipes outside of our normal comfort zones. Our "date night" consisted of going to very nice restuarants to the hole in the walls and in between. We always preferred the hole in the walls. We were able in our 20 years of marriage to come up with our own recipes and I published a cookbook after his death. I continue to cook as it brings me peace and it's really my comfort zone.

Cheese Herb Bread
This is a wonderful bread full of flavor. I made it for the first time a couple of days ago. I also made some bruchetta, toasted the bread and topped it. Wonderful! I'm sure this would make a great panini too.

Best Bread Machine Bread
THANK YOU..THANK YOU. This bread was fabulous! It is the first bread that I have made that actually came out. I have not been able to make bread either in the machine or oven! But this recipe was so simple! I did change one thing from the original recipe and that was to use 1/2 cup whole wheat flour and 2 1/2 cups of bread machine flour. We used the bread for sandwiches this afternoon shortly after it was done and wow! I definetly will be using this as a base for adding other goodies. I'm starting my second loaf for the day! Thanks again!

Easy Lemon Cookies
If you like lemons, you will love this recipe. I made one adjustment as offered by another cook who rated this recipe and used lemon juice instead of extract. It was wonderful! Thank you!
