Cranberry Gelatin Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2009
I have made this every Thanksgiving for several years. My family loves it. I do not make any changes to the recipe (no need for a cream cheese or sour cream topping). It's nice because you can make it a couple of days ahead of time and it's great with leftovers, too! If there is any left over!

Tuscan Cream Cheese Spread

This was a hit at a tailgate party. I didn't change anything. Several people have asked me for the recipe. I will certainly be making this again. Thanks!

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Warning...this dip is ADDICTING! I love it and can't stop eating it. I did use just a little less hot sauce than in the recipe, which I recommend. You can always add more.

Glazed Pork Tenderloin

I'm cooking this for company tonight. It's the 3rd time I've made this as everyone loves this recipe. Very easy, and very, very delicious. I didn't change a thing. Highly recommend to make, especially when entertaining friends for dinner.

Texas-Style Baked Beans

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2009
Really tasty! My guests really liked these beans. Two of my kids liked it, too and they normally don't like baked beans. I do recommend draining two of the bans of beans first so it will be thicker. Planning to make again this week for a pot-luck.

This was very easy to make and was a big success for a pot-luck party we went to. Love the lemony flavor! I didn't change anything with the recipe.

Slow Cooker Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2008
This is a moist, delicious stuffing and it is very helpful using a slow cooker. I use a mixture of wheat, rye, white and sour dough bread. I tear up the bread into pieces the night before and let it sit out over night.

Cake Mix Cookies VIII

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2008
These are good and very simple. I chilled the dough for several hours before baking. I think that helps them from spreading as I like cookies round and puffy. I baked them on parchment paper and mine took closer to 12 minutes each batch to bake.

Autumn Cheesecake

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2008
This was good but it wasn't as great to me as some of the reviews proclaimed. I did add an additional package of cream cheese and sugar and egg as others suggested and it took a little over a hour and a half to bake thoroughly. I sliced the apples thin and did not cook them prior to adding to the cheesecake. After it finished baking and cooled, I drizzled a little caramel sauce on the top.

Pesto

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2008
Easy to make and was so tasty. Great way to use all the basil I'm growing in my garden. Next time I make the pesto I might use a little less olive oil. I did not use parsley. I mixed it with cooked linguine and served with grilled chicken that had marinated in Italian dressing, and also had fresh tomato slices on the side. Great dinner!

English Muffin Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2008
This bread is WONDERFUL! So delicious toasted with butter and your favorite jelly or marmalade or peanut butter. I make this a lot for friends as a gift and they always ask for the recipe. I usually just make one loaf at a time, cutting recipe in half and I mix the dough on the dough cycle in my bread maker, then take the dough and roll in cornmeal, place in a bread pan and bake as directed. Truly yummy!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2008
They look great, they taste wonderful -- just what a chocolate chip cookie should be. But I shouldn't have made them because I'm trying to lose weight and I can't resist them! I followed the recipe exactly as stated and used parchment paper instead of greasing pans, then left them on the sheet until completely cooled.

Insalata Caprese II

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2008
Delicious, simple and elegant! I was wondering what I was going to do with all the basil I'm growing this summer. I found tomatoes on the vine that were smaller than normal, cut them in half and tore the basil leaves in half and they made great bite-sized appetizers. I did add a sprinkling of balsamic vinegar as well as the olive oil.

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2008
I used coconut cake and white icing. I used the entire can of icing and added some shredded coconut. As others suggested, I froze the balls for a couple of hours before dipping, then rolling in more coconut, then storing in the fridge. I made these for my husband for his birthday and he loved them. To us, they are really more like candy than a cake. Very good and pretty easy to make. Thanks for the recipe!

Three-Berry Lemon Trifle

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2008
Wonderful summer dessert! So light and tasty. Only change I made was I did not use the almonds since some people I know don't want nuts in their treats. Very easy to make. I thought the strength of the lemon was perfect. People at my work loved it and asked for the recipe. Thank you!

Bake Sale Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2008
I should have followed the other suggestions of adding more lemon juice. I baked these bars just as the recipe stated and I couldn't taste any lemon. Neither could my son. Very bland and the color was blah as well. If you try this, add more lemon juice and maybe a little yellow food coloring.

Texas Coleslaw

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2008
Whoa....this was just TOO spicy for me and my family! Some other people say it has a "slight" kick but I think it has a HUGE kick! BUT I think the flavor could be really good and I will definitely make again but with less of the pepper. I do like the cumin flavor. I recommend to others to try this recipe but add the cayenne and black pepper gradually and taste to make sure it's not too spicy for you, especially if you're sensitive to spicy foods.

Sweet Grilled Corn

Reviewed: May 17, 2008
I'm giving this recipe a 5 because my guests and husband loved it (he said it was the best corn on the cob he's ever had). To me though, corn on the cob needs nothing more that butter, salt & pepper.
