About this Cook
I am 33 years old, happily married and mom to two beautiful girls, a five year old and a 4 month old baby girl. I enjoy baking with my elder daughter and cooking for my friends.
My favorite things to cook
My daughter and I LOVE baking cookies. I also enjoy baking cakes and breads. My husband and I like to make sushi for our friends.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I have vivid memories of my mom baking in the kitchen, I have always had a sweet tooth, specially when it came to her wonderful desserts. Now I share the same experience with my daughter, and I love to build new memories. I would have to say that my cooking family tradition is to bake chocolate chip cookies with my daughter!
My cooking triumphs
OH! When I was a newlywed and held my first dinner party for 9 couples of friends. Everything went smoothly (with my mom´s help over the phone of course!) and I got tons of compliments on my cooking and specially over my desserts!!!
My cooking tragedies
... when I entered a bakeoff contest at my office and decided to experiment (last minute) on my butterscotch cheesecake recipe (by changing the crust recipe) and it got RUINED, but I only found out AFTER the judges had tasted it ... OH THE SHAAAAAAAAAME !!!

Never Fail Biscuits
Followed recipe, except for the cream of tartar that I did not have at the moment. First batch of biscuits came out a little bit burnt, so I lowered the heat to 425 and baked for 8 minutes, they turned out really nice. Just be careful to watch your biscuits especially on the last baking minutes so they don´t get burned.

Orange Muffins
These were good, but not the best I have tried, I am still out on the search for the perfect orange muffin recipe. Had to add 3/4 cups white sugar and 1/4 cup orange yogurt to give it some extra flavor.

Strawberry Muffins
Very good, had to add 3/4 cups sugar and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. They turned out beautifully, looked like bakery muffins!
