ME
About this Cook
EXTREMELY happily married to a wonderful, supportive husband. I have two terrific children and stay VERY VERY busy. I work full-time for a Non-Profit organization AND on-top of that, I am a full-time college student. I love to bake, everyone says I should do it professionally.
My favorite things to cook
any baked goods, cupcakes, cakes, cookies, holiday-themed goodies, and anything that is a challenge as long as I've got the time
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas time: every year at christmas, we make cut-out shortbread/sugar cookies, we frost & decorate them with a variety of different color frostings & sprinkles. I also started a tradition of making chocolate covered pretzel-rods decorated with sprinkles.
My cooking triumphs
Lots of baked goods. I use the recipes on here & tweek them.
My cooking tragedies
Homemade macaroni & cheese (the cheese mix tasted like flour)

Vanilla Glaze
Good glaze but had to add more confectioner's sugar than specified in the recipe. Almost double the amount. But used it on a delicous pumpkin bundt cake & was fabulous!

Pumpkin Cookies V
These cookies were moist and quite delicious!! I also took the tip by another reviewer, who mentioned to lightly press the tops of the cookies when it just comes out of the oven. A few tips that were not mentioned in the recipe that could be questioned: No need to grease the pan. With a covection oven, cook at 350 for 14 minutes with insulated cookie sheets, and 10-11 with dark cookie sheets. Use a teaspoon (not tablespoon). Overall, very delicious cookies!

Pumpkin Cake III
Wonderful delicious cake! Very moist, made it for a friend for her birthday and added a vanilla glaze, which kept it even moist and gave it a sweet flavor! 5 stars - wonderful!!
