About this Cook
I awlays laugh when I read how people don't like NC BBq or the sauces made is too strong. People you have to remember, cut the ingredients in half if you're cooking for a small number of people, cut it again if its just one or 2 people!
My favorite things to cook
Meats of all kinds. Pork and chicken Especially!
My favorite family cooking traditions
We grew up making fried chicken and eating greens all the time. Just typical Southern Fare!
My cooking triumphs
MY chicken Soup recipe. I am going to see if anything else is close to mine before I post it up here. People, remember, you have to make the stock from scratch. It does take time but if you do it right its well worth the effort! The stock for chicken noodle soup is what gives the soup its flavors. You have to make it condensed and strong the first time so when you strain the stock and then use that with enough water to make a good base. Its about the flavor, but I have found that alot of people are just too lazy to make the stock the old fashioned way.
My cooking tragedies
Baking breads and cakes. Not good at that. Need more practice!
