Mozzarella Meat Whirl

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2009
I did my best to seal the ends, but the cheese leaked out through little tears in the sides. I think it will roll better if I grate it next time. My hubby does not like onions and loves cheese, so this was a meatloaf recipe he actually ate and said he wouldn't mind eating again. Although i followed suggestions to reduce the amount of water in the sauce, I just didn't care for it and will try something different next time.

Butterscotch Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2009
My husband said he wanted a bread pudding for Christmas dessert, so I gave this one a try. I made it exactly as directed and we thought it was so good with a little freshly whipped cream. I wish the recipe divided more easily as it was too much for our small family. I didn't care for it cold - the taste was alright but the texture I thought was not that pleasant. Overall though I give it 5 stars because it was so wonderful and full of gooey bubbly goodness fresh from the oven. The smell was out of this world too.

Peanut Butter Chip Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2008
Made these when some of my husband's friends came over and they were inhaled. I had to stash some away in a baggie so I could be sure my girls got some the next day. Didn't need to change a thing. I am not much of a baker, I prefer to cook, but these were truly idiot-proof!

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2008
My husband loved this recipe the first time I made it according to the recipe. I thought the filling and frosting was too sweet, so I have found different recipes for those two, but overall an excellent recipe. I'll be making these for Christmas morning.

Corn Fritters

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2008
I loved these, but surprisingly the kids didn't really take to them. Too unfamiliar I suppose. I'd assumed they'd devour them. I took some to my neighbors to try and they devoured them, asked for the recipe right away and made a batch for themselves that very night. I used about 1 1/2 T of sugar and since I can only buy corn in 15 oz cans, I just used that whole amount. Also, I don't have shortening, so just used margarine and it worked out great. Dusted them with powdered sugar afterwards. I kept trying in vain to get them to be rounder. Tips anyone?
