A Simply Perfect Roast Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2009
Simple enough. I didn't have turkey stock so I used chicken. It turned out nice enough, but if served without gravy/cranberry sauce, then it would have been a disappointing turkey.

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
Amazing! I did make many changes though. I just didn't have the time to put the complete time into it. I first used the stove top turkey stuffing, then I used pork sausage (this is what I had in my freezer). I added one small onion to the sausage. After it was done, I added it to the prepared turkey stuffing. Next I chopped up the parsley and apple. I attempted to make my own version of dried cranberries; big mistake. In the end, I didn't add that into it and excluded the turkey liver. Surprisingly it turned out amazing!

Gourmet Sweet Potato Classic

Amazing! I got so many compliments. Make it as is. I did however cut back just a smidge on the sugar.

Cranberry Sauce I

Wonderful! I did as the reviewers suggested about splitting the orange juice and the water. The result was perfect!

Italian Sausage Soup with Tortellini

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2009
Wonderful! I made it as is and my husband loved it. After his first bowl, I added 1 1/2 tsp. of red pepper flakes to add more spice. He liked this adjustment better since he loves spicy food.

Graham Cracker Crust I

It was an easy crust. Nothing real special about it. I would suggest baking it in the oven for 5-10 minutes before using it for your pie.

Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2009
The soup was amazing! I followed the recipe exactly. I boiled the potatoes rather than baked. When I make this soup again, I will try the baked method and I would NOT add all that basil. There really was too much.

Creamy Corn Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2009
It isn't as thick as I would have imagined, but with a little extra flour, it was alright. I pureed the corn and added it to the soup.

Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo

Wonderful! Next time I will be adding broccoli. If you don't have half and half, then you can easily make it. 3/4 whole milk and 1/4 heavy cream.

Pizza Dough I

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2009
This was super easy to make. The next time we make this, we will be using bread flower rather than all purpose flour. I feel it would be better because of the higher glucose content. We did add italian seasoning to the dough and let it sit on the counter for the yeast to rise for about 20 min.

Super-Delicious Zuppa Toscana

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2009
Absolutely amazing soup! We didn't use a dutch oven but a toaster oven. When it came down to putting the ingredients together, it was over the stove top. This soup is up there with Olive Gardens toscana soup!

World's Best Lasagna

Follow the recipe as is, you won't be disappointed. I ended up using mild sausage due to my store not carrying sweet sausage.

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2009
This is the only recipe for cheesecake that I will ever use again. I had so many compliments over it. The only trouble I had with it was that it didn't bake in the middle. I followed the directions to a "T", but it seems that it applies only to top rated ovens. If you have an old oven, I would suggest turning down the temperature and bake longer. I ended up double baking it, and even after all of that, it was the most delicious every cheesecake!

Quick and Easy Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2009
I will never eat canned soup again! This is the first soup recipe I decided to make because it looked quite easy. I did as one reviewer said about using 1 cup of celery, 1 cup of carrots, 1 cup of onion, and three cups of noodles. If I hadn't done that the soup would have been too much liquid rather than chunky.

Chrissy's Sweet 'n' Sour Tomato Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2009
Very tasty and refreshing. I used my very own home grown tomatoes along with purple onion (I didn't have a yellow onion). I chose to use olive oil rather than vegetable oil because other reviewers chose to. I will be serving this again, but next time I will try adding some olives! Yum!
