Most of my experience comes from trial and error,my ambition to be creative and somewhat of a self proclaimed artist just comes naturally from good genes. my favorite things to cook are comfort foods,whether it be desert or not i can't get enough of the praise thats comes from knowing how to satisfy hungry folks!! family traditions were always in and around holidays and birthdays,my grandmother gave me my first cake pan and i went crazy ,now i am a semi pro cake designer. my most memorable challenge was when i was suppose to be learn the ropes from a caterer,she had a heart attack 1 hr into a wedding dinner preparation,i had to fly by the seat of my pants to completely finish the dinner from practically the beginning,not to mention organizing the servers.it went off with rav reviews from the bride and grooms parents,150 guests and astonished caterer when she realized what happened.I was very proud but relieved it was over. i was always called upon by schools to cook for fund raising dinners,one time when i was fairly new to it we decided to have roast beef on a kaiser au jus,to say that the beef was tender was an understatement,once we sliced it for service and put it in a steamer/warmer i was relieved but when we went to serve it,it was like chipped beef on a bun,i had sliced it just a bit too thin,we had no choice but to serve it anyway,it tasted wonderful but i was so embarassed by it's sloppy appearance,a lesson learned the hard way!!!
