Raspberry Oat Bars

Yum yum! I substituted applesauce for 1/4 cup of the butter, and left some of the sugar out! If I did it again, I would probably leave even more sugar out. Also, I didn't have very many preserves so heated up some frozen strawberries and added in a little bit of corn starch to thicken them up! (no sugar with the strawberries) It was delicious!

Zucchini Coconut Loaf

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2009
I was just looking for a simple zucchini bread recipe, and this was one looked the closest to what I wanted. I left out all of the last four ingredients since I just wanted a basic zucchini bread. It is delicious!!! Love it. Thanks.

Buttermilk Corn Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2009
Personally, I like the cornbread that is a little sweeter, but I made this because grandpa is diabetic. It was SO easy and quick! I had lots of fun making it. And since I like it a little sweeter I just spread on a little butter and honey. Super good recipe! Thanks!

Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2009
These are really yummy! I actually used the dough (minus the almond flavoring, jam, and glaze) to make strawberry shortcake!! Delicious! Just roll the cookies out into 15 balls, put on cookie sheet, and flatten. bake as directed. Let cool and top with strawberries and whipped cream, add another cookie and repeat strawberries and whipped cream! It's excellent!

Mama D's Italian Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2009
I love this bread! I use my kitchen aid stand mixer for kneading... and heat up my stoneware pie dish, place a rag in it, and then set my bread bowl in it. This speeds up the rising time! I like thin slices, so when it's done, I let it cool, then chill it in the fridge for a few hours. When it's good and cold I take a really thin/finely serated knife and cut thin slices. I get about 24 slices per loaf. It makes amazing toast and french toast!!! Love this bread and so does my husband!

These are delicious cookies and very easy. The only thing I changed was to substitute margarine for the shortening. My husband and I both love these cookies!

Homesteader Cornbread

This is probably the best Cornbread I've ever had. My husband made it for us and both of us loved it. However, if you don't like sweet, you should take out some sugar.

Easiest Egg Nog

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2008
This is the best homade egg nog I have ever tried. Delicious! My family used to buy something called custard nog, which I liked much better than traditional egg nog... this recipe tastes very similar, just not quite as thick and creamy!

Homemade Wonderful Bread

Didn't really like this bread... I didn't make it in a bread machine so that may have been part of the problem. it was very dry and crumbly.

Sugar Cream Pie I

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2008
Mmmm... turned out really good. I was actually not making a pie, but poured the mixture into little ramekins over peices of pear. The pears should have been cooked a little before hand, but other wise it was really good. I didn't have cream so used all milk, and I added a tiny bit of extra butter, as well as a bit more sugar. The whole procces probably only took about 10 minutes.

These cookies were not too bad... but very sticky. I had to add a lot of flour before I could do much with them.

Lemon Bread

This bread was ok, but it was to eggy... also to dry and crumbly, however I may have baked it too long. If I make it again, I will probably leave an egg out.

Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2008
One of the Best breads I have ever eaten. However, I edited it the first time I made it (partially on accident) and it was much better that time. I only used about 1/2 cup of sugar and cut the yeast back to 2 teaspoons. It made a very moist bread. If it is made that way you can cut very thin delicious slices. PERFECT! The second time I made it I used the full amount of yeast and couldn't cut it as thin and it dried out much quicker.
