Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints

First off can I say I hate when someone changes a recipes then complains that it didn't turn out right. This is a very good recipe, always turns out good for me. The only "change" I make is to chill the dough a bit before baking.

Fruit and Vegetable Pork

I don't care for pork chops or sauerkraut and LOVED this. Instead of doing 4 chops only did 2 (normally hubby is the only one who'll eat chops). Next time I make I'll definitely make the 4 chops but will double the rest of the ingredients (they were THAT good!). I never added brown sugar to sauerkraut before but loved the result. Will make again and again and again....

Dill Pickle Meatloaf

I think this is great! I don't like to substitute in recipes the first time I make something but in this case I had to make a few changes. I only had ground turkey and I used bread crumbs instead of bread. One thing I would recommend is doubling the sauce!!! It's excellent. Also, dont' be tempted to use relish instead of the pickles to me it's just not the same! I also think next time I'll bake this without the sauce on top first so I can get the nice crust then for the last 10 min or so add the glaze. I also forgot to add the salt (ooops just skipped it by accident) but I really don't think it needs the salt.

Grilled Asian Chicken

This was OK, I discovered I don't like Sesame Oil too much-it just tasted like burnt sesame to me. I doubled the sauce but left the Sesame Oil at 4 tsp but it still left a mild burnt taste in my mouth. DH thought it was OK.

BBQ Dry Rub

I have been using this rub for at least a year or more and just got around to reviewing it. I personally think this is great. It makes a lot and you can store the leftovers in a sealed container and use as needed.

Pork Chops 'n' Pierogies

This is really good. The sauce it makes is so simple and tasts so good. Only change I'd make is not adding the pork chops back into the onion mixture because the onions seemed to give it a "livery" taste, will just add onion mix on to and serve.

General Tsao's Chicken

Excellent! I did decrease corn starch for sauce based on reviews. I also only added a few few tsp's of soy sauce to the chicken and only added cornstarch until I had a tight mix. Wonderful, will definetly make again.

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits

I just love this recipe and make it anytime I want homemade biscuits. Rather than cutting these out I normally knead the dough a bit and press it into a rectangle and cut it into six squares that I gently round off with my hands. This keeps the dough tender and there is no waste!

Peanut Butter Bars I

I feel like it's missing something--real Reeses's cups are saltier so may add a bit of salt next time. I think I'd also like to try this with milk chocolate as others have stated. I LOVE peanut butter so will probably try again. Thanks!

Easy Quiche

I've always wanted to try this and I was not disappointed! I didn't have any broccoli or spinach so I ommitted them completely. I also added 1 T dried minced onion and only used about 6 oz of cheddar cheese instead of 8. Very tasty! Highly recommend making it ahead of time and letting it set for a few hrs before eating. I also forgot to add that I did not use the 1/4 cup of butter in the recipe (I overlooked it the first time) and taste was still great so will probably continue to omit in the future.

Deep Dish Brownies

These brownies are awesome! Very chewy, only change I made was using 1 tsp salt instead of 1/2. Made it for a picnic and both adults and kids couldn't stop eating them.

Autumn Cheesecake

I like this but think I'll modify it some next time. I will DEFINETLY dice the apples on top as opposed to slicing them thin to make it easier to cut. I also felt the pecans on top were kind of bland, may toss them with some cinammon sugar and then sprinkle on or may ommit them all together.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

This is a staple in my home. I've modified the recipe based on my families tastes. I use Chicken Breast instead of thighs and make this into a stove top stir fry with broccoli, carrots, and onions. The soy is pretty strong when making it this way so I normally half the amount of soy and substitute it w/orange joice or sometimes chicken broth.

Annie's Strawberry Dessert

This is pretty good, but I feel like it's missing something--Maybe next time I'll try addding lemon juice to the filling. I'd also like to cut down on the powdered sugar next time as it seems to take away from the cream cheese flavor and as a little too sweet for my taste.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

These cookies are awesome. I think the key is making sure that the dough is solid enough to handle with your hands and roll into a ball. If the dough is too soft they'll spread. Normally after mixing this dough, I'll leave it set out for maybe 1/2 hr and the dough seems to "set up". I've also just covered it and put it in the refrigerator for about an hour and the dough is normally solid enough to handle.

Best Tuna Melt (New Jersey Diner Style)

I thought these were good. The vinegar seemed to cut out some of the fishiness of the tuna so that was a plus.
