I am a "people person". I have a great sense of humor and love a good joke. Spending time with friends and family make me happy. I love to cook and try new dishes. I am a very creative person who likes to experiment with recipes.
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook many things...and will prepare almost anything at least once.
My favorites are Homade Soups and Stews, Eggplant Parmesan, Stir Frying, Italian Dishes, Chicken Dishes, Mexican Dishes, anything Marinaded and Barbequed, Homemade Spaghetti Sauce and Pizzas made from scratch also, side dishes such as Broccoli Casserole and Cheesy Potato Casserole.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cooking from scratch by using the freshest ingredients whenever I can. Collecting recipes from family and friends, so I can make the best tasting dishes now. If I forget or put off asking for a great recipe, the recipes become lost forever and are hard to duplicate.
My cooking triumphs
Cooking Spareribs on the grill where they came out delicious, juicy, and moist.
Making Eggplant Parmesan and learning how to use Eggplant...without being afraid to cook with it. I would only eat Eggplant if I ordered it out at a Restaurant or ate at someones elses house. Now I use it all the time and love to try different dishes using Eggplant.
Trying to re-create a recipe that I came upon and it turns out as I rememebered it tasting...that is such a triumph!! It makes me happy because the recipe reminds me of special memories of cooking from times past.
My cooking tragedies
When my Spareribs I cooked on the grill turn out so bad, that we had to throw them out because they dried out and were chard...I cried!
When I miss calculated the amount of ingredients in the recipe and the recipe was a flop ....I learned to slow down and double check the information before I put in the ingredient.
