About this Cook
I'm a college sophomore studying to becoms a special education teacher. I am also Majoring in History just for the fun of it. I am the oldest in my family and my cooking career started with the microwave at 2 1/2 years old.
My favorite things to cook
Desserts! They are also my favorite things to eat. There is such a wide variety and so many ways to do things.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making crepes with my mom and always burning our fingers on the hot ones. My mom (and later I) would cook them and a quadruple batch never lasted through the day.
My cooking triumphs
Divinity, simply because it is so blasted difficult to find a mixer that can handle it. It doesn't help when the air is wet either. Good thing divinity tastes good whether or not it turns out perfectly.
My cooking tragedies
Whenever I make jell-o a tragedy occurs. You give me something complicated to make and I get through it fine, but have me make jell-o and it either ends up everywhere or never sets.

Easy Peach Crisp I
I made this recipe as is, but it was way too sweet. It made me sick if i ate more than a few bites. I will try this again but will eliminate the sugar entirely.

Pumpkin French Toast Bake
I made exactly as written. I thought it was a bit bland. I would have liked more pumpkin flavor.

Angie's Perfect Dinner Rolls
I'm eating one still hot from the oven while I type this. I made the recipe exactly as written, except I didn't brush melted butter on the top. The rolls are incredibly soft and not too dry. This is my new favorite recipe for rolls.
