Margarita Cake with Key Lime Cream Cheese Frosting

Made this for my sister's "Beach Theme" bridal shower. We didn't change a single thing from the recipe. I actually doubled the cake batter and made in two sizes of springform pans so I could make a layer cake. We used one batch of frosting and dyed it blue like the ocean. I got SO many compliments on the cake - on how it fit the theme, on how great it tasted and looked. Even my husband wants me to remake this. I used the frozen Bacardi Daiquiri mix (same as margarita, since the difference is the kind of alcohol). I will definitely make again - this was a huge hit!

Alfredo Mostaccioli

I altered this a bit. I made 2 lbs of vermicelli noodles (family of 6) and tripled the sauce recipe. I used half and half instead of heavy cream, and I was a bit shy on the parmesan so I added finely shredded mozz cheese. I did not add any additional salt, since I was using salted butter. And I needed to add flour to thicken the sauce. However the end result was SO good. I added broccoli and mushrooms to the dish for a rounded meal. Next time I will include chicken or shrimp. Thanks for sharing - it's a great base to build from!

Angel Chicken Pasta

I would have given this recipe 5 stars if it had made more sauce. I didn't make as much chicken as the recipe called for either (didn't have enough, and it was just my fiance and I) and there still wasn't enough sauce to really coat the amount of noodles. However, it did taste wonderful. My fiance raved about it. I will make it again, and double the sauce next time.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Absolutely delicious! I will make this again. It was so easy and fast, took no time at all, it was a breeze to prepare. We don't make fish very often but thanks to this recipe, it will become a staple in our home.

Shoyu Chicken

Excellent! I did leave out the optional seasonings as my children are not fans of anything remotely spicy. And I baked it at 400 for about an hour. I will definately be making this again, perhaps with the additional spices next time! Thanks for sharing!

I followed this recipe to the letter and my cookies did not rise. I ended up with flat cake bars that did not taste very good at all. A complete waste of good bananas.

White Cheese Chicken Lasagna

Exceptional recipe! I have made this twice so far. First time I followed the recipe with only one small change - I used only one package of spinach and felt it was more than enough. It turned out great and the white cheese sauce was rich and yummy! Second time I made it I used a shortcut and bought jarred alfredo. Turned out quite good as well! Next time I want to add mushrooms. This recipe was added to our family favorites and I will be making it often. Thanks!

Lime Chicken Soft Tacos

This recipe was excellent! I used everything except the green onions and tomatoes (fiance isn't a fan). Had a nice lime taste without being overpowering. It was also very quick to make. We will be making this again.

Jerk Seasoning

This was alright. A bit too spicy for our tastes. We used it on chicken and then grilled it. I think I might leave out a bit of the cayenne as it was just overpowering. I did sprinkle some lime juice on the cooked chicken which helped.

Broccoli Beef II

This recipe was pretty good. I let the beef marinate for a few hours before preparing. I also left out the green onions since my family doesn't like them. I used fresh mushrooms and fresh broccoli. It tasted great! Aside from being a tad bland, otherwise it was very good. It was very easy to prepare and I can see many different ways of preparing it (adding carrots, subbing fresh green beans for the broccoli, etc). I will make this again!

Beef Tips

Wow wow wow! This recipe was delicious. I was a little leary of trying this, as most beef recipes end up very tough and chewy. Not this one! I followed the recipe to the letter. I seemed to have A LOT of sauce, though. I couldn't get it to thicken. Next time I will omit a cup of water (or maybe even more). I would have rated this 5 stars if not for the thin sauce. However, it did have a wonderful slightly-spicy taste. I added some sauteed mushrooms to my plate, and served with herbed mashed potatoes and a veggie. The meat was so very tender, I could cut it with my fork. I did notice a salty taste as well, and I would probably omit the extra salt next time too. I was VERY impressed with how this turned out, and it was so easy! I will definately be making it again.

American Chop Suey II

This was good, but I added garlic, mushrooms and a lot of seasoning. It was otherwise bland. I think it makes a wonderful base where you can then add your own extra ingredients. Next time I want to try it with corn. My kids ate it, so I will definately make again.
