Thai Pork with Peanut Sauce

This was ok. Kind of bland. I followed the recipe to the letter. It was alright but I don't know if I'll make it again. Not to say others wont like it, obviously they do. But personally, it just wasn't a "favorite". Thank you though.

Octoberfest Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 19, 2009
Pretty good. I used a tenderloin cut into medallions. And I grilled it. It was really good. Flavors are subtle. I'll probably tweak it some next time to make the flavors more bold but it is a great recipe. I was a bit surprised. My kids usually drown everything in Ranch or Blue Cheese. They did not put a thing on this. Ate it as is saying it was very good. They did ask that i kick the spice level up a notch next time though. There will be a next time. Thanks.

Excellent if a bit salty. Used it as a base for a salad tonight but have also used it with spring rolls. Very good stuff. Thanks :)

I followed the recipe exactly. It was ok to me. Almost bland. Everyone else liked it a lot but I'm not sure I'll make it again. Nothing personal. It just wasn't "me" if that makes any sense. Thanks anyway.

This was awesome. I had it recently for the first time in a local Thai restaurant. Found this recipe and made it at home. Darn close to the same thing. LOVED it. Thanks

This was great. I went to a asian food store and got my miso with dashi granules already added. Tossed in some ginger, beaten egg. It was great. Thanks. It went perfect with dinner.

Quick, easy and good. I used half cup of country time for mine. I had been making this for years but it had been so long since I made it....I had to look it up and found this one. You can sub pretty much any cool aid flavor you want. Grape was a little......weird and so was cherry but country time makes some good choices, which is what I used last night. Lemonade :) Very nice. thanks

Amateur's Light Breeze Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2008
I think those that were freaked out by the canned chicken missed the part where you were in college. This sounds like a poor mans chili! It was actually really good. But, having graduated from college twice, I don't do canned anything anymore if I can help it. So, I did mesquite smoked chicken breasts (4 medium) and I had a few chicken legs left over that had been cooked over smoke the previous night. I combined that with some turkey sausage I smoked with the breast and went from there. I didnt use near the liquid required. And I used chicken stock the whole way. Six cups I think and I still had to thicken it with some cornstarch (but not much). Also tossed in a little cayenne, ground mustard. This was a good recipe and it tasted even better the next day. Thanks

Lo Mein Noodles

This got mixed reviews at my house. Four of us here. My son and I thought it was "ok", wife strongly disliked it (ate PB&J instead) and my daughter LOVED it. My wife didnt like the anise I think. I agree with Tiffany, it is a "different" type of flavor. But mine was not dry. This is unique in flavor. Almost reminds me of jamaican with the nutmeg/cinnamon twist.

Authentic Louisiana Red Beans and Rice

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2008
This was great. I used Bush's red beans in my recipe and my total cook time was 1h15m. Nixed the hock too. Otherwise I went by the recipe. It was great. My whole family loved it. There were no leftovers and I was asked to make it again........tomorrow. For cajun seasoning I used the "cajun spice seasoning mix in a jar" from this website. That stuff is awesome! This is definitely a keeper and is easily modified to suit your own personal taste. Thanks!
