Andrea's Pasta Fagioli
My favorite soup! So Italian. So good. Made only these slight (and very delicious) adjustments. Substituted 5 c. chicken broth and 1/2 c. red wine in place of the water. Used crushed tomatoes instead of tomato sauce. This kept plenty of liquid while adding texture. Added fresh italian parsley and basil just before serving. And added the pasta to individual serving bowls rather than the entire pot of soup to prevent it from soaking up all of the liquid. So simple and good. Our entire family enjoyed this, and I'll be making it again and again.
