Heavenly Lamb Shanks

This is the first time I have had lamb I actually liked! We got our shanks from a local organic farmer. The meat was so buttery and tender, it fell off the bone, and the gravy I made with the juices was full of flavor. I roasted the shanks in my Le Creuset, and it turned out perfectly in 3 hours. The only change I made was since it is December and I had no fresh herbs, I used dried Herbes de Provence. I'm sure it would be even better with fresh herbs. Thanks for a great recipe!

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches

Very good! I used a whole chicken, but other than that kept it the same. It was a little dry so I added a little broth. I think next time I will try using ranch dressing instead of the dry mix.

Bodacious Broccoli Salad

I thought I would love this because it didn't seem to be as sweet as some broccoli salads, but I really missed the sweetness in this salad. It was too much vinegar taste for me, and a little too much pepper. I did like it, but I probably won't make it again.

Reunion Meatballs

These had such amazing reviews, I really expected to like these more. Sorry! I thought they were just ok, but my husband did love them. I liked the meatballs themselves a lot, but I didn't care for the chili powder taste in the sauce and also the sauce was more watery that I would have liked. I did love not having to fry the meatballs so I think I will try the meatball recipe again and just change the sauce up a little bit.

Chicken Pot Pie VIII

One of the best meals I've ever had. Wonderful comfort food. The only reason I gave it a 4 not a 5 was that I wish I would have listened to the reviews and pre-cooked the potatoes a little. I baked my pie for about 10 extra minutes as it didn't look done, and the potatoes and carrots were a little crunchy still.

Mmm-Mmm Better Brownies

I love these brownies! I needed a dairy-free brownie recipe and this one is perfect. I only gave it 4 instead of a 5 because I always have to bake it at least an extra 5 minutes or they are totally raw instead. These are a little TOO easy to make!!!

Great recipe! I think there are better tasting coleslaws out there, but none that even compare to how easy this recipe is. I do add a bit of salt, pepper & onion, otherwise perfect as is.

Super easy, turned out perfectly! Great recipe, I'd love to try it for a wedding cake. A 12x18-inch pan makes about 54 servings, though NOT 10! (cut 2"x2")

Pasta Salad I

Very good. I liked all the veggies. I used only 2 c. pasta to up the veggie/pasta ratio. Otherwise I followed the recipe exactly. I feel it could use some herbs for some more flavor, but this is a good starting point!

Strawberries and Cream Cake

I like the concept of this cake, however, the cake itself was not that great. If I was voting just for the cake recipe, I'd give it a 3, maybe. It tasted floury and had an odd artificial strawberry taste. I loved the cream filling and the cream cheese frosting though, that kind of saved it.

Hot Buffalo Chicken, Bacon, and Cheese Sandwich

This went over really well at my house. My husband requested that I put this in our regular rotation. I took the advise of other reviews and added more hot sauce, otherwise I would have given it a 5 star rating. I think it should have some Ranch or Blue Cheese in there somewhere too.

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

I really like this pizza crust! I've made it several times. Usually I make a double batch and freeze part of the dough for later use. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I always have to add so much extra flour to make it useable. I make it in my Kitchen-Aid. So easy!

Veggie Fajitas

I felt good eating these because not only are they super healthy, they tasted great, too! My husband and I both liked them. The only thing I would do different next time may be to add some spices like crushed red pepper and cumin.
