Excellent recipe. I followed the directions exactly and they produced a delicious bar. I cut them in small pieces because they are very rich.

These live up to their name: EASY sugar cookies. I followed the recipe exactly rolling the balls in colored sugar. They were delicious, melt in your mouth cookies.

Delicious Peanut Butter Cookies

This is my go to peanut butter cookie recipe. They are so easy to make and are crispy and delicious. They are always well received. At Christmas time I just top them with a Hershey's kiss and they are always winners.

Filet Mignon with Rich Balsamic Glaze

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2009
I have made this recipe repeatedly and it is one of our favorites. I have made it exactly like the directions with good results. However, I prefer to cook the steaks and allow them to rest while I make the sauce. I cook the sauce until it starts to thicken like a syrup and immediately pour it over the steaks and serve. Wonderful!

Slow Cooker Barbequed Pork for Sandwiches

This made some great pork BBQ. The only change I made was to add a homemade barbeque sauce. Really great for our tailgate party!

I made these for a picnic and they were a big hit. The orange frosting was a very nice compliment to the banana cake.

Hot Bean Dip

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2009
This recipe is top notch. I make my own refried beans and freeze them so that makes this dip even better. I followed the recipe exactly and this was excellent. I'll be making this again for tailgate parties in the fall.

Cranberry Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2009
I love this recipe. I had some cranberries in the freezer and used them in this recipe. The tartness of the cranberries added an excellent flavor to the overall sweetness of the bread. I'm making this again today. The loaves freeze well.

Peach Curry Glazed Pork Chops

We enjoyed this recipe as a nice change of pace. I had some fresh peaches to use up and this worked nicely. The sauce was very good served over rice.

Sweet and Tangy BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2009
This is an awesome BBQ sauce. Instead of 2 cups of ketchup, I used 1 cup ketchup and 1 cup of homemade chili sauce. I had no apple juice so substituted orange juice in it's place. After it was finished I used the immersion blender to get it all smooth and it was a great hit at our chicken barbeque.

Summer Squash Puffs

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2009
Oh my gosh! I've been mad at my husband when he brings in more squash from the garden. I'd about given up trying new ways to prepare it. This was wonderful. We loved it these little fritters. I followed the recipe exactly and then refrigerate the batter for a short time before frying them. We'll have these again.

Zucchini Herb Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2009
We really enjoyed this dish. I used leftover rice and skipped the garlic powder. I used zucchini, yellow squash, carrots, green pepper, & onion. Since I had no fresh tomatoes, I added chunky homemade salsa to the mixture. I topped it with bread crumbs and parmesian cheese. The salsa really kicked up the spices.

Fresh Cherry Crisp

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2009
Great recipe. I used sour cherries from my tree and there wasn't too much sugar for them. The only change I made was to leave out the shortening and to add a teaspoon of cinnamon to the topping mixture. We've had it twice already and loved it. Great topped with milk, ice cream, or whipped cream.

Chayote Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2009
We really liked this soup. I had 2 chayotes and had no idea how to fix them when I found this recipe. The soup was creamy and delicious. I served it 2 days after I made it. The only change I made was to add 1 jalapeno pepper when cooking instead of the red pepper flakes. I served it with a sprinkling of fresh ground parmesian cheese and a couple of homemade croutons.

Sue's Two-Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: May 26, 2009
I needed to bake 150 cookies for refreshments one night at Bible School so I tried this recipe. The only change I made was to mix all the open bags of chips I had together and use them in the cookies. I had a mixture of semisweet, white chocolate, peanut butter, & cinnamon chips. They were actually quite tastey. The only problem I had was keeping my husband from eating too many of them.

Coconut Pound Cake

Really delicious cake. The only change I made was to use vanilla instead of coconut extract. I might try rum flavoring the next time. I served it to a group of women and needed to give out the recipe to them. It was a very moist cake.

Potato and Bacon Salad

Excellent potato salad. The only change I made was to add a few chopped onions. This salad kept nicely the next two days and didn't get watery like most leftover potato salads.

Poached Orange Pears

Reviewed: May 11, 2009
Oh my gosh is this ever good! I don't even like pears generally but these were great. I used ground cinnamon instead of a stick. I also cooked the syrup a bit longer after the pears were done just to thicken it a bit. I made a mixture of softened cream cheese, honey, and toasted pecans to top the pears with. Then I drizzled over the thick syrup. We are having these again very soon.
