Used some of our hundreds of pears from our trees to make this delicious recipe. It's a keeper for my file of pear recipes.

Excellent base recipe with no tahini. You could add lots of different things to this to change it up. Great Recipe!

Very easy dough to work with. I made a half recipe and got 18 doughnuts. They were also very good filled with jelly.

My husband gave these a 5 star rating. They are just like the ones his grandmother and mother made. These are definitely the way to my husbands heart. Kids scarfed them up too!

Ratatouille

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2007
After watching the Disney Movie "Ratatouille". My kids wanted to make the dish. I cut up all the veggies with a mandoline and let them layer everything into a baking dish. It was a wonderful accompaniment to parmesean chicken. Thanks for a wonderful recipe. Who would have thought a Disney movie would make my kids eager to eat their veggies.

These were awesome! Made some Greek chicken to go with tomatoes, onion, feta, olives and cucumber sauce. We will make these over and over. Next time I will make these when my little son is home so he can see them puff up! They were great fun and EASY to make.

Reminds me of a similar recipe by Daisy Martinez (PBS chef). Great chicken recipe! I make this with a whole chicken, cut up. Everyone in my family gets his/her favorite piece.

Homesteader Cornbread

Reviewed: May 3, 2006
I am Texan, born and bred. This is the best cornbread I have ever eaten, hands down. I usually half the sugar, cause we don't like it too sweet. My friend from Mississippi and I could eat a pan of this with some cold milk. When I serve this, people ask if I made it from scratch or if it's a mix. They always take home the recipe.

Jalapeno Bread I

Reviewed: May 3, 2006
Be sure to use fresh peppers (not the jarred variety) and instead of shredding the cheese, put the cheese in during the last half of kneading and use cubes of cheese. The cheese does not seem to disappear into the bread if you do it this way. Good bread!

Cocktail Meatballs I

Reviewed: May 3, 2006
This is a great recipe. I don't fry the meatballs. I just put them on a pan and cook them in the oven. Then I turn them out into a slow cooker with the sauce ingredients, and cook for a about an hour on low. They are always one of the first things to run out on the buffet.

Not exactly what I thought it would be. Too cheesy, I don't know, just not the flavor it should be.

Granola

Reviewed: May 3, 2006
We eat granola almost every day. This recipe is great, and low in refined sugar. We do not care for dates, so I substitute "Craisins" dried cranberries. This has become the standard for granola in our house. My teenage daughter takes a baggie of this everyday to high school. Her friends squeal with delight when she brings "That oatmeal stuff" to share! Thanks for a great, healthy recipe!

Angel Biscuits II

Reviewed: May 3, 2006
This recipe is sooooo good! Follow the advice of previous reviewers and place your biscuits close together on the pan to rise. My husband has been requesting these often. He can hardly wait for them to rise and bake. My kids have used a whole bottle of honey eating them with butter and honey. Ummmmm! Thanks you for the excellent recipe!
