Walnut Cups

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2010
LOVE these lil goodies. Only reason the four star rating is it seems to be lacking something that would make them phenomenal but I can't put my finger on it just yet. I will however, experiment with different fillings because the cups came out perfect! No paper liners for me...I just used, er "baking happiness" spray in my mini muffin pan. I feel like these need to be filled with chocolate and raspberry something, mmmmm. But as is, they are a sweet walnutty treat for sure! Thanks so much for the recipe!

THE Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2010
Delightful pasta salad! I left out the hot sauce and cut provolone into very thin strips because I was out of swiss, lol. Whole family LOVED it. I also used celery chopped fine and some bacon crumbles and garlic powder. Hahah...I may have made a different salad huh?

Emily's Famous Sloppy Joes

Nice little recipe! I was in a huge hurry tho, so I left out the cumin and Chili pepper bc they were at the back of the spice shelf, lol. I halved the water & added a 1/4 c. of molasses bc I like it sweet. Next time, I'll do it right, but it was very good this way!

Mini Cheesecakes I

Very nice little recipe. I prefer the lemon juice version, but didn't have any, so I added a teaspon of lemon extract to this along with the vanilla just for kix and was pleasantly surprized. I also used a cookie scoop to fill them and loved how it made them all uniform sized without the eyeballing, lol.

We used this recipe for the Christmas Rib Roast. WOW....tying up the oven for hours has never been sooooo worth it! PERFECT roasting plan! We rubbed it with olive oil & Pampered Chef cracked pepper and garlic rub. Phenomenal! THANK YOU!!! PS---we took the advice of another and taped the oven door shut, lol.

Pumpkin Cookies II

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2008
Not the best I've ever had. Maybe tomorrow they'll be better? I took the advice of another reviewer and let some of the moisture drain off the pumpkin, but they were just not that tasty....even tho I used cranberries and pecans in them, which I love. they LOOK great and the texture is perfect....but not a keeper.

Salsa I

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2008
I used fresh tomatoes and added chopped fresh poblano pepper and a little cumin. I certainly did not use a whole bunch of fresh cilantro...OIY! That would be TOO much. I used about 6 stem's worth of leaves chopped fine. It was VERY good salsa.

Turkey Pot Pie I

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2008
I made this tonite using a double recipe of the "No Roll Pie Crust I" from another poster. It was REALLY good, but I did not use oregano and I changed it up quite a bit to use up some canned carrots and potatoes I had on hand. I also used canned turkey gravy in an effort to use that up as well. Thanks for the yummy recipe!

Grandma's Sloppy Joes

mmmmm....just like the canned stuff with a couple of easy tweaks. Skip the cloves, add a lil black pepper, tsp of chili powder, 1/2 tsp. of paprika, 1/2 tsp garlic powder. YUM! I lessened the salt and bumped up the brown sugar as well as adding an extra 1/2 lb of beef....but it's basically the same recipe, lol.

Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2007
Easy and different than my usual cookie fare. I used 1/2 white and 1/2 brown sugar...but I must have packed my brown too well as when I went to push the kisses in, the cookies cracked all around it, although they cooled in one piece, I didn't like the look. I used raspberry and orange flavored kisses which gave them an extra flavor boost. Not crazy about the texture/flavor of the cookie itself but still tres edible.

Pan Cream Puff

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2007
I just had this last night....and I must say it was tres delish! I WILL say to use butter rather than margerine tho...and we skipped the chocolate and nuts. French Vanilla pudding is yummier than plain too! You can use sugar free and it's still awesome! Altogether a very nice little dessert that's versatile and not too sweet.
