About this Cook
I love to try new things!
My favorite things to cook
Chocolate cakes with liquid centers (this site) is one of our favorite desserts. French apple pie with cream cheese topping (this site) is also an awesome, easy, delicious dessert. I love my Allrecipes cookbook a lot and also use the web page to find new things to try.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandmother's pecan pie and fudge pecan pie are traditions at Thanksgiving and Christmas for me. Three fruit cranberry relish is a must have then also. My hubby and I prepare delicious holiday meals together and it is so fun!
My cooking triumphs
Any new recipe attempt that is a success is a triumph. There is a thrill to trying new recipes and succeeding for me.
My cooking tragedies
Cottage cheese bread in the bread maker made a huge mess and was a disaster. My first time making my grandma's fudge pecan pie, I misunderstood and put in 8 teaspoons of salt instead of 1/8 tsp. There wasn't enough sugar in the world to fix it.

Delicious and simple! Didn't have saffron to add and was still fabulous. Big hit with kids.
