Blueberry Buckle

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2010
I followed the recipe exactly as written. It was delicious. Never had blueberry buckle before, it tasted like a blueberry muffin. Had to bake for 40 minutes at 375 and left in over for 5 minutes after I turned off the oven.

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2009
This was awesome! I didn't have plain bread crumbs so I crushed up some ritz crackers and sprayed it with butter Pam instead of pouring melted butter (all that cheese made me feel guilty). Sour cream and cottage cheese just add an amazing flavor to this recipe. This is my forever mac n cheese recipe! Thanks for sharing!

Easy Guacamole

Good recipe. I use Roma tomatoes (seeded), 1 Jalapeno (minced without seeds), and juice from half a lemon. Easy and delicious appetizer for get-togethers!

Cafeteria Carrot Souffle

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2008
My friends in New Orleans used to order this from Picadilly to bring to Thanksgiving dinner. I've never had it until I tried this recipe. My husband loves this and looks forward to it every fall when I make it for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I add a little more vanilla just because I like to smell it throughout the house as it cooks. We like this more than sweet potato casserole. The leftovers are even better!

My kids love this recipe! Very authentic recipe. I'm going to try to use whole wheat flour next time. I chose this recipe because of the simple ingredients. Thanks for a great recipe!

Pecan Snack

I cannot say enough about this recipe! Perfect the way it is! I make this and put in cute jars to give at Christmas. I've also used Splenda instead of sugar...coating isn't as thick, but it's a great alternative for a diabetic. Everyone thinks I'm a wonderful cook when I make these...they have no idea how easy this is! This recipe is better than any sugared pecans you can purchase. A fool-proof recipe!

Lemon Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2007
Absolutely divine! My 4 year-old couldn't stop eating it! Just say, "Lemon cake" and he starts licking his lips! I just added 15 minutes to the time and melted a container of lemon frosting in the microwave and drizzled over the cake! Used fresh raspberries to garnish which tasted great with the cake! Will make this again and again!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2006
Absolutely delicious! I doubled the recipe and added more milk because the batter looked doughy. I did use brown sugar and pure cane sugar instead of white sugar for the crumb topping. My 3 year-old son has thanked me all day for making them for breakfast! Thanks for a wonderful recipe!

Snickerdoodles I

Delicious!!! My 5 year-old son and his friend couldn't stop saying how good these cookies were... he even asked me to give his Mom the recipe! I added some vanilla extract to it and next time will use butter flavored shortening for a more buttery taste. With regular shortening, it was still awesome!

Strawberry Spinach Salad I

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2003
TO DIE FOR!! This was such an easy and not to mention delicious salad! You would never know how easy it was by the taste. I only had roasted sesame seeds, and it added such a unique flavor to it! I also sauteed pecans instead of almonds in some butter and sprinkled with sugar until they carmelized. The combination of the different flavors was just excellent! A definite keeper and my new "potluck" dish!

Bacon Mushroom Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2002
This was sooooooo good!!! I couldn't stop raving about this chicken while we were eating dinner! I did use soy margarine since my son's allergic to cow's milk, and it was still great! I did use the flour and water to thicken the gravy and added crumbled sauteed bacon to the gravy. I am going to try the real bacon bits to speed up the recipe for the gravy and drain some of the oil from the chicken before adding to the gravy. Other than that, this is an awesome chicken dish!

Cola Chops

My family loved this recipe! The house smelled great with this great aroma! My husband couldn't wait to eat dinner. I did season the pork chops with salt and pepper before adding the mixture. I used Diet Coke since that's all i have in the house, and it turned out well! This is such an easy recipe to follow without compromising a great tasting dinner!!

London Broil I

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2002
Such a great flavor! I only marinated the meat for 2 hours, so i'm looking forward to marinating it longer...i'm sure it'll be better. I cooked it on the stove for about 15 minutes on each side. I also sauteed green peppers, onions, and mushrooms and added the marinade to simmer. After slicing the London Broil, I added the sauteed veggies and sauce over the meat and served it with white rice. It was very delicious! I will definitely make this again!

This is a great marinade! The combination of all the ingredients really work well. Very easy to make, and all the ingredients are commonly used, so you won't have to run to the store for an ingredient.

Fruit Pizza with White Chocolate

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2002
This is sooo awesome! I used the juice from a can of lychees for an Asian influenced dessert. I used lychees, kiwis, bananas, strawberries, and blueberries. I had my husband pick up an empty pizza box from the closest pizza place to serve the fruit pizza at a friend's get-to-gether. The box added a unique twist and it was a hit!! I wanted to make life easier and rolled out a refrigerated sugar cookie dough instead. Besides being a beautiful dessert, this is so delicious!

Cone Cupcakes

I love this recipe! I cheated and used a cake mix, but my toddler son who is allergic to cow's milk finally got to have "i cweam in a cone" once it was frosted and showered with sprinkles. Even my husband couldn't turn them down!

Profanity Salmon

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2002
It's amazing what can happen when you substitute or omit an ingredient! I'm sure the wasabi would just add that punch, but the night I made this, I didn't have any wasabi or teriyaki sauce, so I improvised and made my own teri sauce with soy sauce, brown sugar, and orange juice. I also added a bit of sesame oil to it, to enhance the teriyaki sauce. My husband who doesn't care for salmon at all loved it. He said the sauce masked the "salmon taste". This was awesome, i'm trying it with the wasabi next time.
