Sister Schubert's® Chicken Pot Pie with Bread Topping

OK, this was delicious! I, too, used ground mustard and added 1/2 tsp. of marjoram. I also went with the puffed pastry crust. This could work with any type of crust. The filling is SO rich and tasty! My boys wanted me to make it for their birthday dinners!

Weeknight Pork Chops

I really dislike rating a recipe this low but wow I did not like the smell or taste of this dish at all!! Browned on the stovetop and finished in the oven, and the flavor it lacked was just as bad as the flavor it had! I couldn't eat it. I was really hoping it would turn out for me given all of the good reviews it has, but unfortunately it didn't!

Cookie Balls

These are good, but I am giving 4 stars because they weren't as heavenly as everyone says, and they are kind of a pain to make. Maybe a different flavor combo would be better (I used chocolate with chocolate).

Pineapple Upside-Down Cake II

This was so good warm from the oven. It would be really great with fresh pineapple, however all I had on hand was pineapple rings which I did not pat dry, and I stirred the butter and brown sugar in the cake pan as suggested by other reviewers.

Fluffy White Frosting

Very good and not too difficult. Would be a GREAT frosting for coconut cake. I made vanilla cupcakes and frosted them with this, and I was told they tasted just like Twinkies (a better, homemade version of course!).

Fun Cookie Suckers

These were good, however, I did not color and roll, instead I rolled out with a pin and made cut-out cookies, and the dough worked REALLY well for this! I did put the cut-outs on a stick and they "stuck" well. Will use again for "cookie pops."

This is how I always make my mashed potatoes amd it's always great. I love reading other's changes when they make a review, in fact I usually will incorporate one or two of them, if it sounds good to me. It's one of the joys of cooking!

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

This was quite delicious, and I was looking for something that would turn out great since I have never made cornbread from scratch. I have to say that I will try other recipes too. Try putting dried cranberries in this before you bake it, just enough to have a good sprinkle through the mix... you won't regret it!

Cocktail Meatballs

I know the reveiws on these are highly rated, however I don't understand what the fuss is about. I have several other meatball crockpot recipes that top this. I was hoping for a more distinctive taste, but this was a little mediocre.

Slow Cooker Lasagna

Well, I had high hopes but this didn't fit the bill for us. It was dry, had an odd texture, burned on the edges but pasta was not done in the middle, and just an ok taste. I really wanted it to turn out better, although I have to say I'm glad I at least tried it.

Macaroni and Cheese V

I was looking for a mac and cheese recipe for which I had all of the ingredients...this one did the trick and turned out great without being too difficult. A good weekday recipe when you want something easy but with some real homemade goodness! Side note, the kids didn't love the breadcrumbs, you could top with more cheese to please them.

Heavenly White Cake

I wish I could have tasted the cake made by someone who rated it high... this just did not work out for me, although with the proportions I should have guessed it would be too much flour, and that's just what it tasted like- flour. Perhaps a half cup less would have made it better. It rose well, but it was so dense, not light and fluffy even though my egg whites were perfect. I wanted this to be heavenly, but it wasn't.
