About this Cook
I was born in CT., but moved to CA when I was 7 (1960). I'm married (30 yrs this July) and my husband and I have one son (29). Can't wait for the grandkids to arrive so I can cook for them/with them.
My favorite things to cook
I love the holidays with all the fantastic recipes. In particular, I enjoy cooking at Easter, Thanksgiving and of course, Christmas. There is one cake, a special angelfood cake that I learned to bake when I was a Senior at Mater Dei High School. It's filled w/strawberries and covered in fresh whipped cream. Thank you Sr.Frances.
My favorite family cooking traditions
The traditions are more memories. Memories of my Grandmother and Great-Grandmother and all the wonderful Hungarian recipes. Fortunately through my mother, I've been able to get copies of their recipes (main dishes and desserts) and so now I can pass them onto my grandchildren.
My cooking triumphs
Being able to duplicate some of my Grandmother's/Great-Grandmother's cookie recipes.
My cooking tragedies
Let's just say, I don't use bisquick anymore.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips
Was the hit of our family get-together this weekend. (I chose to use raspberry preserves). I used a biscut cutter to cut the tortilla into 'little tortillas' making eating easier. Was amazing how the fruit took on the appearance of tomatoes, green peppers and onions.
