I'm a new, full-time mom who just finished up a master's in marriage and family therapy at Brigham Young University. I enjoy cooking and baking for my family, and managing my household. I also like running, hiking with my husband, quilting, reading, and playing with my little son!
My favorite things to cook
I like to make healthy recipes, whole grain recipes, and vegetarian meals. I like baking, but it's often too hot to turn on an oven in St. George!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom taught me how to cook with healthy, fresh ingredients. My husband loves traditional American meals, and international foods (especially Thai food), so I have fun trying my hand at a lot of different things.
My cooking triumphs
Perfecting whole wheat bread (it's an art, so sometimes I have it, sometimes I don't), making Panang curry that my husband liked *better* than curry from a restaurant (after like 10 tries!), and great pasta sauce.
My cooking tragedies
If I melt a cooking utensil it's a bad sign. The heat was up too high, and I bet dinner burned. This has happened multiple times...
