Very good, very simple. The gravy, which was very good, would be really good on meatloaf as well. Added carrots & sliced onion into the mix. Tasty ty Phyl ;)

Lime Fish Tacos

Reviewed: May 27, 2008
Absolutely fantastic! I only had one small lime so I used half in the sauce and half on the fish. I made the sauce ahead of time so that the flavors could meld. I also added salt, onion powder and ground cumin to the fish and it came out fab! Topped em' with coleslaw in lieu of the lettuce, tomato, red onion and chopped cilanto. YUMMO!! Hub gave it 10 stars. TYVM Tammy ;)

Banana Chip Muffins II

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2007
I really liked this recipe for a few different reasons...1st being the small amount of sugar...second the applesauce vs. oil...third the cinnamon... fourth...they were so darn good!! I did add the whole eggs tho, and I doubled the recipe and added a whole bag of bitter sweet chips. Yummy, thanks Angela!!

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2007
Perfect. Hub wanted not so messy buffalo wings, and this was just perfect for him. I'm not a big fan of chicken on the bone, and I even loved them! I baked them as others suggested and that worked out just fine. Thanks much for the great recipe Kelly!

Italian Chicken Rice Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2007
Oh my, I used left over chicken cacciatore in which I used a whole chicken, so I took the left overs, carcass and all and threw it in the crock pot....reserving the sauce....to make my own stock. Then I added the sauce, which included green beans (i exclude peppers from chix cacc.) and mushrooms, and the rice....YUMMY!! Thank you Wendy, now I can make good use of my left over chix cacciatore!

Excellent. My daughter (16) loved this! Used my own sauce instead of jarred....very good.**update...I just made this the other night and used a 12 oz bag of fresh spinach in which I chopped but did NOT cook but did add to the cheese mixture. It was amazing this way! Thanks for the recipe Laura.

Scalloped Potatoes and Onions

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2007
VERY easy, with good taste. Next time, I will add garlic to the sauce as well (didn't read the reviews prior to making and there are some good ideas in there). I halved the potato, then halved the half, then sliced it thin and baked at 350 degrees and they were done within an hour Thanks Dorothy!!

Tomato Spinach and Bean Burrito

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2007
Very disappointed. I used black beans and fresh spinach and other than that made it per recipe and did not care for it. I even tied it with tortilla chips (as a dip). It was just bland. I'm not sure what to do with the overwhelming amount that is left over.....this makes more like 8 servings. I love all of these ingredients....but didn't care for this...sorry Lisa, thanks anyway.

Yum. Hub went salmon fishing so I have a lot of fresh filets to use up. I used lemon pepper in addition to the slices and added more garlic (merely because I love it). This went over very well, Thanks Lili!

Savory Turkey Gravy

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2006
I made this for Thanksgiving and I agree the proportions are way off....well that is unless you like very watery gravy...and would equal a three star. My daughter was making this..per recipe, and when I saw it, I was like waaayyy to thin. My Mom piped in with "don't panic...mash some butter with some flour and add it to the gravy...whisk it in there and this way you won't get lumps" Only her! Anyway it made for a tasty gravy with the addition of the extra flour. Next time I will make the rue first and then add the stock and potato water. Thanks Veronica.

Chicken and Herbs in White Wine

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2006
My family LOVED this. The all of the seasonings made a very tasty gravy, and the chicken was so tender. I used an oven roaster and did it in the oven. I skipped mixing the seasonings in a bowl...and just sprinkled them right onto the roaster to my hearts content, and then poured in the broth & wine (really not having a problem with overwhelming greenness). I also added potatoes & carrots in with the shrooms and onion. Good eats lilsis, and thanks!

Thousand Island Dressing I

Very good, and worked well on reubens, however the evaporated milk may throw you off a bit. I just happened to have extra evap. milk from a different recipe hence the reason I tried this, but I would not open up a can just to use a half tsp. Thanks Cheryl!

Janet's Famous Banana Nut Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2006
Man, this has sooo much sugar! After 2 days, which by then my normal recipe is gone, it was hard on the outside as well as the inside. I agree with another reviewer who said it lacked the sponginess of normal banana bread. I probably won't make again...sorry Mari.
