Smoky Grilled Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2011
I made this awhile ago and we really liked it. The liquid smoke was a great addition - I broiled it and it tasted as if it came from a grill. Thanks submitter.

Aw-some Cole Slaw

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2011
AWESOME and EASY!! Only change i made did make this dish a snap. Used a 1 lb (16 oz) bag of coleslaw with carrots. I poured the cabbage on a cutting board and used a chrf's knife to chop it up even more than it was. Other than that I followed recipe exactly and it was perfect. I've reviewed at least 8 coleslaw recipes on this site and this moves to the top. As others said .. A lot like KFC. Thanks submitter.

Chicken Tikka Masala

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2011
Very authentic tasting. I found it more time consuming than I thought it would be but I will be making it again - I did add a tablespoon of garam marsala to the marinade. I followed someones suggestion and doubled the sauce and for us that wasn't necessary. The recipe as written would have been fine. Thanks submitter.

Peach Pork Picante

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2011
I'd give this a 10. Simple and easy. I had taken out about 1 1/2 lbs of pork cubes from the freezer so I used the full package of Taco seasoning but needed some more which I didn't have on hand. I had some rib seasoning leftover from the week-end (1 tablespoon of cumin, 1 tablespoon chili powerder, 1 tablespoon of paprika) so I added that. It was perfect - right amount of heat! Since I was using more meat I did use 2 cups of salsa and 8 tablespoons of peach preserves. I served it over spanish rice. There were only the two of us and we had to stop ourselves from eating the entire serving. My guy already claimed the leftovers for lunch. Thanks submitter.

Baked Spaghetti Squash with Beef and Veggies

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2011
The only change I made was using 1/2 beef and 1/2 sausage. I thought this was a very heavy meal. I would cut back on the cheese the next time to try and lighten it or use ground turkey.

Bacon-Wrapped Asparagus

Simple and Delicious. I, too, cooked it in the oven at 400 for 25 minutes. This was so good - I'm making it again tonite!

Bottom Round Roast with Onion Gravy

Reviewed: May 17, 2011
More than a 5 star but I did follow other reviewers changes. I did sear the meat, added merlot wine to deglaze the pan and then added another cup of wine before starting to simmer. At the end I just mixed 3 teaspoons of corn starch into 3 tablespoons of cold water and then added it to the onions and wine mixture to thicken. I also added some thyme leaves while it cooked. Thanks submtiter - best pot roast I've ever had.

Chile Pork

Very Good. Made quite a bit of it and had it for dinner with cauliflower salad and then ate it during the week for a quick lunch/snack. Watching the carbs right now so this did the trick.

Cauliflower Salad

Fabulous! My guy is currently on a low carb diet so I thought I would try this and wasn't expecting much. We both loved it and I will continue to make this even after his diet is over. I didn't use the pickles or eggs but that was just a preference. I would use it in the future. I also did half Duke's Mayo (no sugar) and half sour cream. Thanks submitter - a definite keeper.

I marinated this overnight and I did add some extra hot sauce so we thought this was very flavorful and very moist. I will be making this again. Thanks submitter.

Cauliflower with Dijon Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2011
This was so good and sooooo quick! This is a keeper - great impression for company. Following reviewers suggestions, I put it under the broiler at the end. I also agree that you could probably cut back on the amount of sauce - but my cauliflower was on the smaller side so maybe I wouldn't change it if the cauliflower was a large one. Thanks submitter.

Czech Cabbage Dish

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2011
Great. Used all ingredients called for except for the oil - I poured off some of the bacon fat - left enough to use without adding oil - wanted bacon flavor. I also just ended up cooking the cabbage with the veggies at the end. I added the vinegar as soon as I put the veggies in the skillet to scrap up the bacon bits at the bottom of the skillet. I also added a teaspoon of sugar. It is wonderful the next day too. Love it cold. Thanks submitter.

Curried Pork Chops and Cauliflower with Basmati Rice

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2011
I love this site - some people say that if we make changes we shouldn't review the recipe. I don't agree. I saw this recipe and it sounded good but when I read the reviews I saw that others wanted more of a kick to it. I like SPICEY Indian food so instead of buying Apple chutney I bought something called Pineapple Pepper chutney. WOW - this was a great dish and the next time I will double the sauce because right now I would just love to eat the rice and sauce. The caulifower was geat too. Thanks submitter.

Bertolli Classico Asparagus Saute

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2011
This was delicious but had to change the way of preparing this as others did. I put the garlic in the pan near the end because the frist time I tried this it burned and the dish was not so great. Also, at the end I sprinkle the parmesean cheese directly on the Asparagus while still in the pan. It adheres to the asparagus better. Thanks submitter.

Scott Hibb's Amazing Whisky Grilled Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2011
I can't believe that I haven't reviewed this before because cook my ribs using this method quite often. It is foolproof as far as getting fall of the bone ribs. It deserves a 5 for falling off the bone and the sauce is delicious. I, like a few other reviewers, often use the rub from "Prize Winning Baby Back Ribs" on this site rather than using the red chili pepper. Thank you submitter.
