Butterfinger Chunkies

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2009
These are AMAZING cookies! Very good. Make sure you only use the WHITES of the egg. Also, using parchment paper is a must. LEAVE THE COOKIES ON THE SHEET TO COOL. If you don't they will fall apart. I chopped my butterfingers in pretty large chunks and that is the way to go. If you chop them up too fine you are just going to have a regular peanut butter cookie. Mine were not greasy at all. I used real butter and store brand chunky peanut butter.

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches

I really, really liked this!! I think if would be great over some nacho chips with all the fixings. My kids all 3 liked this and that surprised me. It made for a great sandwich that was full of flavor.

Taco Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2009
This recipe knocked my socks off! I really loved it. I made it exactly as written. This is a salad that is a meal. My kids all liked it and I served it at a potluck and everyone there thought it was really good. One word of advice, the lettuce gets soggy so if you are planning to have leftovers (like I always do...makes for a great lunch!) maybe leave the lettuce out on the side and add it to each serving for extra freshness.

Noodles Mexicana

Hello! I am the submitter of this recipe. Make sure if you brown your hamburger in a skillet that you use a larger stock-pot type of pan to do the rest. If you try and do all of this in a skillet you will run out of room. It makes a lot!

Cheesy Ranch New Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2009
I liked these pretty well. I almost think that I would rather spread a little butter with some salt and pepper and then add the cheese. The ranch just didn't seem to fit in warm. Next time I will do the butter thing and add a bit of bacon.

Black Magic Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2009
I made this for my son's birthday party and it was really good. It's very easy, the directions are great and the warning that it is runny is spot on. It bakes up so moist and has a wonderful texture. The flavor is amazing. I topped it with Satiny Chocolate Glaze from this site and the presentation is very impressive.

Waffles I

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2009
These were great. I tripled the recipe to make more later this week. My 9-yr old daughter mixed these up and she said the batter was very easy to make. They were nice and fluffy and browned beautifully. I added fresh bluberries to two of them and they were delicious.

Fruit Pizza I

My 10 year old daughter made this today and she had a lot of fun making it. We used strawberries, kiwi, grapes, blueberries and raspberries. We were hoping to have some left since there were a lot of people at the party we took it too but not a drop was left!

BBQ Bacon Ranch Dip

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2009
This dip was wonderful! I made it today for a cook-out and everyone who tried it really liked it. It was super easy to make and I followed the recipe exactly. The only thing I would change is to add some green onion. Not that it needed anything extra, I just love green onion. I served it with Fritos scoops and they were perfect.

Butterscotch Oatmeal

I doubled this for the fam today and they all liked it. I did follow it exactly but forgot to add the butter. I'm sure it's delicious with the butter but it really doesn't need it. We will be making this again and again! It's very creamy and flavorful.

Thick Cut-Outs

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2009
I made these for my Dad for Father's Day. I am extremely impressed by them. The dough was super easy to mix up. I did add some almond and butter flavoring just because others did and I had it on hand. I refrigerated the dough overnight and just took out what I was rolling at the time and let the rest in to stay cool. I did have to use quite a bit of extra flour in order to get them to roll well. The dough was pretty sticky but nothing common sense couldn't fix. Extra flour did the trick. The stability of the cookie after it was baked was impressive. Nice and soft and thick but held the frosting so beautifully. PERFECT COOKIES! I made my own icing.

Simple Time Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2009
I am so impressed with this recipe. My kids DEVOURED these pork chops and I have to admit I was wishing I had made a few extra chops. The kids could cut the meat with their forks they were that tender. The tangyness of the mayo (people, don't use miracle whip on these, it's NOT the same as mayo. I love miracle whip on a sandwich just like the next guy but it's not a substitute for mayo in everything!! sorry, I'll get down off my soap box now)is a tad strong so next time I may use a bit of sour cream in it's place. Just to experiment and see if it works. That is just being nitpicky...these are great!

I love this stew! It is so delicious. I forgot to add the sour cream...bummer! I only made this because I had all the stuff. I was thinking that I would be the only one who would eat it but my kids actually really loved it. A big surprise but a nice one!

Baked Omelet Squares

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2009
I made this for myself for lunch using leftover ham. It was really good! I liked the texture, the flavor and it was really easy to put together. I didn't use mushrooms because I don't like them and I only had green olives. Otherwise I made it as called for. I let the onions get nice and caramelized and the flavor was perfect. I will make this over and over and can't wait for my husband to try it!

Sopapilla Cheesecake Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2008
WONDERFUL!! I don't know how this isn't in the top 20 recipes on the entire site. I can't believe I liked it so well because I'm not fond of crescent rolls in desserts that well. I used a glass 9x13 pan and just put the rolls in and spread them out. I spent just a few seconds to make sure the seams were together and the edges were not to thick. Then I poured the cream cheese mixture on top and spread it around. Adding the second layer of rolls was a teeny tiny bit harder but not much. I felt like I didn't get the seams pressed together well enough but during the baking they spread together so it was fine. Don't feel like you have to make it perfect because you are covering the top in the cinn/sugar mix. This is fabulous. I made it exactly as called for except I only used about 1/2 as much honey as called for at first. I tasted it and added more and yum. Use the full amount. I had to bake it longer than 30 minutes and I was getting worried. It looked way too brown for comfort but the middle was still a tad gooey. I kept it in though and it was in no way overdone. So cook it until the center is done....you won't burn it. Everyone who ate it wanted more and asked for the recipe. Try it and I promise it will become a favorite.

Cocktail Meatballs

Please note that I am only rating the sauce. I used frozen meatballs. This sauce was really good. I think the addition of the lemon juice and brown sugar gave the sauce a depth that it needed to make these super good. I will use this recipe from now on!

Spicy Bean Salsa

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2008
YUMM-O!!!!!! I just made this and it is heavenly! The flavors haven't even "melded" yet!! My kids are going to love it so I'm going to have to keep them out of it because I am taking it to a party! I liked how inexpensive it is for how much it makes! And it is very pretty, what with all the colors of the ingredients. I accidently bought italian diced tomatoes but I just rinsed them. I was worried about using them but they are fine!!
