I grew up alongside my mother with sous chef responsibilities - chopping, dicing, peeling - you name it. She is an excellent cook and an inspiration to me. Baked desserts! There's something so sinfully delicious about it ... I love hosting parties and potlucks. It gives me a chance to experiment and create new recipes as well as improve on the old ones. Whenever people enjoy my food.. and tell me about it. My friend has called me late at night telling me how she dreamt about my juicy, succulent pot roast. Another friend claims I make a better rice pudding than her grandma. Anytime someone enjoys my food, I'm happy. In a healthy kick, I try to cut corners anywhere I can. And sometimes... it comes out tasting like rubber. There is no substitute for butter!
