Super De-lish!!!
About this Cook
I have so many interests in life it's tough deciding which to do each day. I feel very blessed.
My favorite things to cook
Anything. I love cooking for family and friends who hate cooking. We have an agreement, I cook and they clean up after dinner. It work out very well. We are all happy with the arrangement.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Turkey for Thanksgiving. Turkey for Christmas. Eat out for Easter.
My cooking triumphs
My mothers Chiffon cake. It's never fallen although the recidpe uses 7 eggs. I always get raves about it especially when I prepare the family secret frosting recipe to go with it.
My cooking tragedies
Two come to mind. When I was a young girl one of my first cakes fell. It looked like the leaning tower of piza and the green cing I had chosen to make and ice it with did not help the problem. Luckily Mom made her Chiffon cake and we pitched my cake directly into the trash (so no one knew). The second is I can not grill brisket to save my soul. I have to try twice for my wedding reception. Even then, the second one I made was barely ediable. All of our guests smile politely and chewed mightily on my brisket. No more brisket making for me.

Coconut Cream Pie III
I think this is an execellent recipe. I made the recipe as written and it came out as perfect as any pie I have ever made. It didn't have any leftovers, and people asked for the recipe. Super easy to make!

Shoofly Pie II
The only thing I did not like about this recipe is the pie has a stronger than expected prominent taste of molassas. I reccomment cutting the amount of molassas down by 1/3. Otherwise I loved this recipe. Great texture, super easy to make, a real crowd pleaser.

Classy Green Bean Casserole
This re4cipe converted my husband to a green bean casserole lover. I too was never much for green bean casserole until I tried this recipe. The crackers on top tend to burn on me, so I simply add a little cheese instead. My husband's family nominated me as the NEW green bean casserole maker for the holidays. They all love this recipe.
