About this Cook
I have one picky son(age three) and one picky man(even more picky than my son) and then me... who loves anything and everything... (aside from liver) Soooo now it has become my job to create meals that satisfy my desire for FLAVOR and still appeal to my picky eaters.
My favorite things to cook
Anything that isn't from a box.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Singing in the kitchen is a must! Everything tastes so much better when the cooks are singing. HAHA My sister and I like to sing Opera while cooking.
My cooking triumphs
If I taste something I like at a resturant I can go home and create a replica that tastes identical to the original.
My cooking tragedies
Made a wonderful vegi lasagna for a potluck and while pulling it out of the oven at the place in front of everyone my butter fingers fumbled it face down onto the door of the oven. *sigh* everyone said it smelt so wonderful that they scooped it off the door of the oven and threw it back in the dish and ate every last bite... so it was a tragedy turned triumph.

Green Beans With Orange Olive Oil
sorry I should have stated I don't use all the olive oil at one recipe. I make the orange olive oil to use again. It is just easier to infuse the olive oil when there it a bit more oil than about one table spoon. So after you infuse the olive oil I would only pour about 1 table spoon on top. Save the rest for another time.

Pesto
Quick easy and healthy... what more could you want in a recipe??? i used a little less cheese than it called for. My picky picky family loved it! we put it on wheat pasta and sprinkled more cheese on top(son loves cheese so he had to see that it was on there)

Chicken and Peppers with Balsamic Vinegar
It was okay.... but really it lacked a lot. It's nothing I would make again... and it's nothing I would even try to mold into something better... Next time I'll just look for a different recipe all together. Sad... because I LOVE Balsamic Vinegar!
