Cavatelli and Broccoli
An easy recipe but, as others have said, a bit on the bland side. I did add a bit of chicken stock to 'juice' it up a bit. Not the best, but certainly not the worst. The starchy cavatelli is a comfort food for sure!

Killer Cheesecake
Very rich and creamy. I took the advice of others before me and decided to cut the butter down by 1/2. It worked out very well. I also used a spring form pan and would suggest that if you also decide to use one that you use the smaller one (8",I think--in a water bath) for a New York cheesecake look. I didn't wait the 2 hour cool down bfore adding the sour cream and it didn't seem to affect the final result. Topped off with sugared strawberries, this cheesecake was an Easter hit!

Cream of Broccoli Soup I
This was the first time I had attempted to make a cream of broccoli soup. After reading through a few different recipes, I decided on this one...and I'm SO glad I did! Not only was it easy to make, but it was delicious to eat. I did cut down on the onion, used 1/2 & 1/2, and increased the butter to 1/3 of a cup to match the amount of flour. I also made sure to add the nutmeg--it added a nice flavor as well as aroma. The best part, as always, was cooking it with my 4 y/o who was very proud of her work! Yum!
