About this Cook
When I got married, I started to really cook! I really enjoy it and enjoy making a good meal for my husband! My mother and my gradmothers are my cooking ifluences. I recently became of the proud mother of our daughter born in March 2005.
My favorite things to cook
I really like to cook nice home cooked meals consisting meat and potatoes. My mother gave me a recipe from an elderly family friend of Beef Stew served over mashed potatoes, and that is one of our favorites. I also enjoy baking.
My cooking triumphs
I haven't had any major triumphs, but it does make me happy when I take something to a potluck and everyone says how good my dish is!
My cooking tragedies
I am have had many of these! I was making poppy seed chicken and for some reason the glass dish it was in exploded in the oven, so I had to spend the whole afternoon cleaning poppyseed chicken and glass out of the oven!

Bacon Cheddar Deviled Eggs
Very good idea to add bacon and cheese! I just made these for a cookout tonight, and I have already eaten 2. I am sure they will go over well tonight! I didn't really measure, I just added the ingredients until it "looked right" and also added a splash of vinegar and garnished with paprika.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies
Great cookie! I made them according to the recipe, the only thing differently I did was used two sticks of butter and two sticks of margarine (that is what I had). Easy and Delicious!

Bread Sticks
I made this today for a ladies luncheon at church. I got lots of compliments on them! I did do a couple things differently than stated. I didn't cut the rolls in half, they just seemed that would make them too thin (maybe it was the kind I got) and then I put an egg wash and poppyseeds on 8, eggwash and seasame seeds on another 8, and then butter and parmesan cheese on the last 8 to have a variety. They didn't turn out really long like normal breadsticks, more like oblong rolls, but I thought they still looked good!
