Candy Apple Jelly

This recipe was OK. It looks pretty, and smells delicious but I didn't care for the flavor. It was too sweet and too candy-like I guess. Maybe I'll try it again and use less sugar.

Slow Cooker Swiss Steak

OK - this is soooooo good. I think you could just about use ANY cut of meat and make it good with this recipe! YUM! We bought some meat a while back and it is just too tough to cook on the grill. I tried it with this recipe and it was sooooo tender! Be sure to brown your meat first as this seals in the flavor and makes it a nice color. Also - you won't get that floating cooked blood that looks so nasty! We really liked this recipe. I added some minced garlic to this recipe as well and only used half the brown sugar. My kids have an aversion to what they call "sweet meat". We all LOVED this recipe! I've made it several times in the last few months!

This really is delicious chicken! Our family loves garlic so I added that in but otherwise this is a really tasty chicken dish!

No Time to Cook Chicken

This was a pretty good recipe. I used cream of mushroom soup instead of cream of celery and added some garlic powder and some onions. Very easy!!!

Strawberry Jam

I love the ease of this recipe! It's great! It's a little runny but who cares! Maybe mine is runnier because I don't add the recommended amount of sugar. 4 c. is just waaaaay too much. I tried it with 2 c. and that was still too much. I am currently working on my 6th batch and I am only using 1 1/3c. of sugar and 1/3 c. Dutch Jell pectin and it tastes delicious!!! In my fifth batch I threw in 1 1/2c. of blueberries as well - YUM! This is a super easy base recipe! Next I'm trying 1 1/2c. of crushed pineapple added!!!!!!!

Country Cinnamon Swirl Bread

This bread smelled sooooooo good while it was baking! YUM! I did have to cook mine a little longer than was stated in the recipe because I couldn't get my toothpick to come out clean. Having said that - my bread was a little drier than I think it was supposed to be. I will be trying this again and again because the flavor was just sooooo yummy! I shared with a friend and her family and everyone LOVED it!

Slow Cooker Enchiladas

This recipe is sooooo easy to make and doesn't take much time at all. The first time I made it - I did it for a church potluck. It was so easy and got lots of great reviews. No one else thought it was salty but I did. When I make it now I use low sodium soups. This helps a little. Also - I have never in all the times I've made this used the amount of cheese suggested! I always double the recipe but don't double the cheese. 8 c. is waaaay too much!

Better Than Best Fried Chicken

This recipe really is better than the best fried chicken. It's my family's favorite fried chicken recipe! You can also use chicken legs for the kids. Be sure to let the chicken get "doughy" as stated in the instructions. This makes a HUGE difference! You'll LOVE this recipe!

Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo

This recipe is soo good. My whole family loved it. I used the jarred minced garlic and it was really good! Be sure to use fresh mushrooms if you can. They are so much better than the canned rubbery ones!

Blueberry Bread I

This is a very good recipe for fresh blueberries or frozen. If you use frozen be sure to drain them after they thaw. I had a problem getting the center to bake completely so I always make this is the mini loaf pans. VERY GOOD!

Nutty Granola II

I loved this base recipe so I made a few changes to make it my own. I use Olive Oil and I sometimes substitute molasses instead of honey for a really great flavor. I also add 1 tsp. Cinnamon AND 1 tsp. of Cloves or Nutmeg. I also added Vanilla! Ever since I started making this recipe about 2 years ago I think I have only bought about 4 boxes of store cereal. I make this (doubled) EVERY week! I change it up with the different spices and also I'll use Almond Flavoring instead of Vanilla. VERY, VERY GOOD! GREAT base recipe!

Chicken Marsala

This Chicken Marsala is FANTASTIC! So delicious. Take the time to pound the chicken so that it will be tender and cook quicker. Be sure to add both the wine AND sherry. I've made it with both and with just the wine and it's better with both! VERY GOOD!

This was ok but I think it may be better with chicken instead of tuna. I think the tuna flavor was a bit over powering for the rest of the ingredients. I'll try it with chicken next time.

Beef Bourguignon II

This recipe was worth every bit of effort, time and gathering of ingredients! 10 STARS if you ask me. I couldn't find any jarred, canned, or frozen pearl onions so I bought the fresh ones and peeled them. THIS TOOK FOREVER but was sooooooo worth it. Also I used venison (deer) chunks instead of beef and it was absolutley gourmet!!!!!! Perfect!

Easy Cheese Ball II

This is 5 stars all the way! So easy and soooo good. I'll never BUY another cheese ball again! Changes I made were: I added a splash of worchestershire sauce and I rolled it in slivered almonds. I have made this 5 times since I found the recipe 2 weeks ago for different event! VERY, very good! You must use the Ranch dressing mix and NOT the dip mix. Don't forget!

Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball

This recipe was very tasty with graham crackers. However I never got it to a consistency that would form a ball. I ended up serving it in a small bowl due to that. I added more powdered sugar and chilled it over night even. Still no "ball" would form. Good flavor though. Very sweet!

Sour Cream Pound Cake

This is a very easy dessert to make. I have made it a few times and I always have to bake it a lot longer to get the tooth pick to come out clean. This last time I made it the outside was pretty dark so I will decrease the temp a bit and add more time. Maybe that will work. We really like it the same day but is kind of dry on day 2. It's great with fresh strawberries & syrup.

Cocoa Rum Balls

Everyone in my family likes rum balls and I usually make several batches around the holidays. This year I wanted to make a new flavor so I tried these. They were a very nice addition to my regular ones. We liked these but they were a little drier than I would have liked. That may have been because I used Bailey's Mint Creme for the liquor and it's a lot thicker than normal rum. They had a great flavor though and I'll make them again!

Chilled Strawberry Soup

This recipe was OK and that's about it. I had a Chilled Strawberry soup on a cruise once and it was absolutley awesome. I wanted to try something similar but this one fell short. I gave it 3 stars and that was being generous.
